PSA: The “bumpy road” on the linear path is fun but check your bike’s ground clearance before you send it 🫥 'tis but a scratch with a story thankfully
Heads up, it’s that time of year again: All Woodward service will be on detour Saturday during the cruise with some local event detours in Pontiac, Berkley, and Ferndale starting earlier. Allow extra time. A PDF copy of the map is available on SMART's website. www.smartbus.org/About/News/w...
Transit is on the ballot tomorrow in over a dozen Michigan communities including SMART, MTA Flint, CATA, and KMetro. See you on the other side of this thing 🫡 members.mptaonline.org/ap/EmailView...
A two-pack of MERV13s from Meijer. Left is new, right was installed for less than three days last week during the smoke. Check your furnace filters Michigan 😷
Air quality still isn’t fabulous but with an N95 it’s tolerable. Not about to let it wreck this entire 70-degree weekend
What a poetic time and place to hit 100K on @transit.app after nearly eight years – passing my old daily stop on the way home from a board meeting 🥨

hi, same place same time by pure chance, do you want help looking for the guy lol
so close… though I guess it’s only fitting that it ticks over in Metro Detroit somewhere
Okay I have to try this 147 bus. Loop to Howard along the lakeshore and just as fast as the Red Line per schedule? Dang
Welp, power bank depleted, about to learn firsthand just how well this feature works. Beauty of a system with open tap pay and frequent enough to use without a tracking app. See you on the other side 🫡
Massive props to the customer information team at CTA for printing what must be north of a thousand of these ad-hoc wayfinding aids for the weekend service changes. I’ve signed 3-block bus detours back home and that alone takes a few days (and that’s without all the context-sensitive variants!)
Transport Chicago was awesome! Met various staffers from CTA, Metra, Pace, CMAP, CDOT, RTA, and even a few other Michiganders. In some very specific ways, Metro Detroit transit ops aren’t all that dissimilar from Chicagoland after all 🚌
Okay team here’s the situation: The NS line between Hammond-Whiting and CUS is impassable. They’re reversing the Wolverine into Michigan City to give us the option of bailing or waiting out the cleanup efforts. The South Shore Line has been suspended through tomorrow AM. What’s the play? Hotel?
