Sac PD and sheriffs have decided the bike lane on 6th street is their free courthouse parking now. This whole stretch is posted "no parking any time" but obvs they won't be ticketed. Lame & super dangerous to have to merge suddenly when cars are flying down that hill. @caitymapled5.bsky.social

Took the new (lighted!) bike/ped path along I-80 after the Sac Republic game last night. I don't think it's officially open, but it's a lot quicker and easier than the routes I had been taking before. Progress! #SRFC #bikes

Concrete bike path at night with lights embedded in the wall near the pavement. Bicyclists and bike lights barely visible in the distance ahead. Everything's a little blurry because we're moving so fast!

Filed a report about cop cars routinely blocking the bike lane on 6th, where its clearly marked "No Parking Any Time." 30 minutes later get this email: "A Parking Enforcement Officer cited one or more vehicles, at 6TH ST & G ST, SACRAMENTO, 95811, based upon your report." Ok, sure.

Hey there @sacbeeeditboard.bsky.social @sacbee.com Can you tell me why my comment on your editorial about Prop 50 violates your community standards? (Especially compared to some of the other comments on there?) If you really believe "We could fix this" why not listen to some other ideas?

Yikes. Opened Bluesky today to see notifications that I'd been followed by 13 new bots. Is there any way to prevent this amd avoid the need to constantly block bot accounts ? Mastodon/ActivityPub at least lets you approve new followers.
