It's been just over a year since Trump and Congressional Republicans passed H.R. 1 - a targeted move to push immigrant Californians out of care to line the pockets of massive corporations. Our communities fought back against state cuts; we will keep up the #Fight4OurHealth against ANY cuts to care.
Over 110 people joined us today for our Statewide Health Equity Call on the final #CABudget. We celebrated the wins our communities achieved together over the last few months fighting for #Health4All and #OurHealthOurFuture - and got energized for the fight ahead of us ✊🏽✊🏼✊🏿
We are thankful to #CALeg (@casendems.bsky.social & @assemblydems.bsky.social) budget champions who stood by us in this fight to protect immigrant health care - and introduced a corporate fair share proposal to ensure massive corporations pay back into our health care system.
The final #CABudget rejects or delays the cruelest cuts to immigrant care - like the elimination of full-scope Medi-Cal for humanitarian immigrants - because our communities mobilized and fought back against attempts to balance the books on the backs of our most vulnerable.
Yesterday, Team CPEHN joined our #Health4All coalition partners in making a special delivery to @cagovernornewsom.bsky.social's office: 273 different letters from advocates & impacted community members urging the Gov to stand with CA's immigrant communities by signing #CALeg's #CABudget agreement.
Our next Statewide Health Equity Call is coming up on July 2nd. Join us and our #Health4All coalition partners for a discussion on the final 2026-27 #CABudget - what happened, what it means for our communities, and how to stay involved in the fight ahead. Register at: tinyurl.com/CPEHNJuly2.

Happy Juneteenth! ❤️💛💚 Today we celebrate the resilience, freedom, and joy of Black communities across the nation - and reaffirm our shared committment to centering Black voices, lived experiences, and contributions in the fight for #healthequity. ✊🏾
Join CPEHN and our #Health4All coalition partners for @domesticemployers.bsky.social's Action Hour this Monday, June 22nd. We will be urging @cagovernornewsom.bsky.social to sign the #CAleg budget agreement to safeguard immigrant health care. Sign up at tinyurl.com/June22ActionHour.
CPEHN appreciates the work put in by #CALeg leaders in crafting a #cabudget that forestalls the worst impacts of @cagovernornewsom.bsky.social’s proposed cuts to immigrant care, but the fight is not over. Read our full statement: tinyurl.com/cpehnbudgetjune
One of many cruel cuts in @cagovernornewsom.bsky.social's #CABudget May Revise is a proposal to eliminate the Commission on Behavioral Health’s Community Advocacy Program. At our bus tour last week, our partners weighed in on what the loss of this program would mean for the communities they serve:
We have just a few days left until #CALeg must pass a budget bill for @cagovernornewsom.bsky.social's signature. Stay tuned as we keep up the pressure on our state leaders to create a #CABudget that does not balance the books at the expense of California’s most vulnerable communities.
Across 5 different stops, allies, advocates, & community members showed up to help us send a message to #CALeg leaders Asm. Weber-Pierson, Sen. Pro Tem Limón, Asm. Gabriel & @caspeakerrivas.bsky.social: The budget MUST prioritize California’s immigrants, older adults, & people with disabilities.
✅ San Diego ✅ Los Angeles ✅ Oxnard ✅ Sacramento ✅ Salinas Thank you to everyone who joined us last Thursday for our statewide "No Cuts to Care" bus tour to protect #Health4All and #OurHealthOurFuture as we draw closer to the deadline for the #CABudget to be finalized. 🧵
The “Care-a-Van” is here! 🚐🚐🚐 Our statewide tour to protect #Health4All and #OurHealthOurFuture is tomorrow. Come join us (➡️ bit.ly/OHOFTour) or follow along for social media updates.
Assembly leaders may have have thrown immigrant communities under the bus today, but we won't. We’re inviting all Californians to join our statewide bus tour fighting for a budget that protects #Health4All by raising new revenues to keep our safety-net whole. More info: bit.ly/OHOFTour
📢 We're taking the fight for #OurHealthOurFuture and #Health4All to the road! Next Thursday, June 4th, we'll be holding a statewide bus tour urging #caleg to reject @governor.ca.gov's cruel cuts to immigrant health care in the #CABudget. Want to join us? Register at bit.ly/OHOFTour.
Our bottom line is simple: Continuing to advance these brutal cuts while the state anticipates surging revenues shows that this is not a matter of math but a matter of values. Thank you to everyone who joined us to deliver this message loud and clear. #OurHealthOurFuture
On Tuesday, CPEHN and our #Health4All Coalition partners brought together advocates and community leaders from across the state for Advocacy Day 2026, a day of action to defend immigrant health care from the cuts proposed in @governor.ca.gov's May Revise last week.
Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning for our #CABudget Advocacy Rally to fight for #Health4All and #OurHealthOurFuture. Together, we're making sure #CALeg hears our message: Stand up for immigrant health care by rejecting @governor.ca.gov's May Revision budget cuts!📢
We call on #CALeg to: ➡️ Reject these cruel cuts to immigrant health care ➡️ Seek new revenues to protect care ➡️ Put funds into our state's safety net reserve to keep it whole for the millions of Californians still at risk as federal cuts loom
Regardless of where you come from or what language you speak, it shouldn't be this hard to access #behavioralhealth care. Asm. @buffywicks.bsky.social: Vote YES on #AB2551!
