I make videos and drink beer. It was DNS.
Clouds are cool and all, but have you tried massive rock formations on the beach at sunset?
Google: Why does everyone hate Gemini? Me: Maybe because you've placed 17 different buttons in every service I use, and even when fully disabling it through my paid-for Google Workspace, it's still in every single window I open, and still urges me to push all my data through it.....
To every EV Car Charger that's ever been deployed. Just allow me to pay. Charging station, in an area with no cell service, requires QR Scan and a webpage to pay and enable charging, even when there's a card reader right freaking there.
I don't know if I could have possibly picked a better time to go full EV. 2024 Kia EV9 Wind 2017 Chevy Bolt Premier 1650 miles driven last month for a grand total of $39.59 in 'fuel'. That's 8 gallons of gas, good for ~240 miles if you get 30mpg.
My favorite neighborhood colo... "Jeff, re doing doing something with the DGX V100 server?" Me: "Maybe, why?" @ychto.bsky.social: "Oh, no reason..."
What a morning. Had three teens try to prank my house at 2am by pounding in my door. My back is still messed up. UniFi update has been stuck for 20+ minutes. And as a result, I got a whopping 2h54 minutes of sleep. I may be a bit grumpy today.
Portland Fire knock off the Liberty! Heck yeah!!!!! Congrats on the first win!
Don't worry, my game addictions are dangerous for me too. Literally playing Dinkum right now.
Seriously YouTube/Google? 17 different places for Gemini aren't enough (and I've turned them all off in Drive, Gmail, etc), but now you've just shoved an LLM into YouTube Studio??? For what POSSIBLE reason? I wrote the damn video. I can read comments. I can view performance. Just more AI slop.
Last year I sent one of my servers to a COLO, but have only been accessing it through a jumpbox VM. Not anymore. I just connected my 8x Nvidia V100 server to my home server rack over 100mi away. In ~20 minutes, Twingate had both networks talking, no firewall shenanigans required. #ad #sponsored
I don't know who or what in this universe hates me today, but FUCK YOU YOURE NOT GOING TO WIN! 🖕Dead camera 🖕Corrupt SD Card 🖕Back pain 🖕Tendonitis Here's a happy doggo pic to make sure your day doesn't suck.
For AI workloads, the R9700 vs B70 will come down to software support for your use case. For SR-IOV and bifurcation, AMD doesn't offer that feature. It's only available for their Mi-series Datacenter GPUs. One exception is the Pro V710, which I have literally never seen in the wild.
Can the Intel B70 Pro work as a cloud gaming server? You already knew I'm going to try!
Let's confuse the hell out of the Steam Hardware Survey, shall we? CPU: Epyc Turin 9965 192-Core with 48-Cores / 48-Threads Memory: 64GB GPU: Nvidia Tesla P4, configured as a P40-8Q I love virtualization.
Testing has started on the Dual Epyc 192-Core Supermicro AS-2126HS-TN. Here's a preview :-)
ITS ALIVE! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! 1.21 JIGAWATTS TOO! Or at least 1256W at peak.
Everyone saying the MacBook Neo with 8GB of RAM is enough... man, Proxmox takes 24.69GB just to boot into the OS these days. Of course, that's because this server has 1.5TB...
Ever seen a GB200 NVL72 rubbing before? I got to see 8 of then today.
