I can’t recall what it looks like on Fridays nowadays, but it wasn’t fully closed yesterday. Wasn’t the city buying meridian barriers? And it’s not even closed that long on summer Fridays and August 12. It was open yesterday at 8 pm!
Well charlottesville didn’t block all of fourth street off today, they just did whatever this is, so people keep driving down it not knowing it’s closed.
New Fiscal Year, New Me! I’ve tried not to talk a lot about my soon-to-be-former job on social media, as I didn’t want to be mistaken as speaking for it, but my last day with the county is July 7! It’s also very weird to leave your job in the summer when so many people are out of the office.
Had to teach the interns about Mary Kate and Ashley today since one of them is pulling an all-nighter tonight and after finding out I immediately broke out in song and they looked at me like I was insane.
E-Biked to my appointment at the hospital today and I’m not sure how y’all do this on the regular. I didn’t even bring my work bag with me on this ride 😅 Luckily I had a “practice” rain ride where it was drizzling and learned to put my hood under my helmet or it blows off.
I wonder if these lost people are the same ones I’ve seen driving the wrong way down the second street crossing and even onto the mall!
In the last 5 days I’ve almost been hit in each of these crosswalks while drivers are making this movement. Today I swear the person made eye contact with me before I stepped out into the crosswalk, and last week the person hadn’t even left the slip lane yet when I started crossing High Street.
I meant to take a better photo when people were running but my hands were so cold lol.
It’s kind of crazy that the city put this right in the path of the 10 miler less than two days before the race.
We did the cville weekly scavenger hunt and found all of the images except for one: this gosh darn cat. As a certified crazy cat lady, I’m appalled with myself, but also incredibly confused. I’ve never seen this cat downtown in my life. (There is another cat in a window on the mall, but it’s gray.)
In probably top 10 nicest things anyone has ever done for me, the incoming president made me a whole photo album of my time on the team 🥹
I have a lot of regrets of not having my janky college club rowing team watch Cool Runnings. When I was president my senior year, I finally had us buy real unisuits, and I got us another boat and trailer. We also got a few medals too 😅

Well, uh, maybe my initial panic was right because we’re still in Cleveland and now instead of getting home at 2:40 we’re getting home at 7:40 😅
