“Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't nirvana, soundgarden, pearl jam, or alice in chains.”
Blissfully off grid camping for four days, it’s hard to come back to the near constant depressing news spew so I’m doing it very very gradually and thinking of the butterflies, woodpeckers and chipmunks I hung out with!
Wish our nightly raccoon guest would at least wash his feet before hanging out
Also Allyce Beasley guested on single episodes of both series (she was Coach’s daughter on Cheers but only appeared once; had a life saving fling with Latka) and J. Alan Thomas, Jeff on Taxi, was in a Cheers Halloween episode.
Just to change the subject and escape, I’ll name Cheers actors who also had appeared in Taxi: Ted Danson (snooty hairdresser); Rhea Perlman (as Louie’s gf, briefly; DeVito’s wife, longer); George Wendt (an exterminator); and Taxi star Christopher Lloyd and Carol Kane guested on Cheers.
Underrated political joke in Brooklyn 99 (s5e15) wherein three almost identical looking old white dudes are running for police commissioner, two have the same name, all their wives look like same very white lady

That said, this commenter on the U.S. soccer SBN blog says it all for me:
Finally catching up on The Bear, and near the end of s4 seeing Rob Reiner again this time made me weepy in a way it didn’t when I’d last left off. 😢 Was so distracted by all the other tragedies and awfulness since then that I’d almost forgotten about that one.
Stunned the guy with the take “soccer is gay” found a way to say “hold my beer” to himself
The @theguardian.com live blogger’s assessment of that ludicrous red card and I agree
Good crowd here in downtown SF for USMNT watch party. We all seem to agree that this ref is trash.
I don’t know if there’s a more darkly hilarious scene in a tv series this year than Rosemary’s genealogy lecture in Widow’s Bay “Emergency Shelter.” “Dead baby… lesbian…” Dale Dickey is always unforgettable.
I just looked at the tickets for this game since it’s in the Bay Area, purely out of curiosity. But yikes, yeah I don’t think I’ll do a GoFundMe so I can go to this.
I like the idea of the earthquake warning system seconds before a quake is felt but if it’s warning you about a 2.0 that is 120 mi away maybe the calibration is a little too sensitive? I don’t need the extra panic these days thanks.
The #WidowsBay ep What to Expect on Your Trip gave me flashbacks (yes) right out of my own experience accidentally dosing on shrooms (in my case at Burning Man!) and then having people help me through it. 😵💫 Frighteningly relatable. Written by @captdope.bsky.social (also Chris Fleming is well cast)
Watching the fabulous Beach Reads episode of Widows Bay, which is definitely their Carrie homage (among other things) and a one-off standout “Let’s Dance” 🎶
Proud to say I was responsible for this account doing this photo (they chose the art to correspond), after I DM’d it to them.
Pretty sure Australia had Richard Kiel playing defense today
Anyway, feel free to join me in trolling Raw Farms on their Instagram because what else are we gonna do at this point and it’s fun! (I’m sure they’ll be deleted.)
Can’t think of a better way to honor start of Pride month than to finally watch Montecito episode of Hacks. Had me dying. And only small part due to my being from Santa Barbara (home they actually filmed is in Malibu anyway); it’s just freaking hysterical. No wonder it’s one of Einbinder’s fave eps.
