New (to me) sword day. Someone in my club was selling their Valiant Armory Ansbach longsword. Been wanting to get into cutting for a while now and while it was a little more than I had planned to spend it was still a really good deal and a very pretty sword. #HEMA

As un exciting as it is that is my clubs recommendation for people’s first piece of gear since sharing masks, especially in the summer is unpleasant 🤢 I painted mine with the Ukrainian trident.

Cookies for Queen's Quarterly Mini Tournament 2 tomorrow. All are sugar cookies but half have lemon lavender sugar and the other half have hibiscus sugar. #HEMA

My club is currently doing a cape and side sword unit! After using a towel last week I got crafty this weekend and made my own cape

Three years ago today my wife and I took this "Intro to Longsword" class at our local #HEMA club. I enjoyed it so much I came back the next week for my first free class and now 3 years later I am helping to run the club as we settle into our own private training space. Crazy! ⚔️

Got my Meyer coloring book yesterday thanks to a classmate bringing it back from SoCal for me. It looks fun! #HEMA
