Publishing industry folks should note the Skyhorse/Tony Lyons connection here. Lyons has been a menace for years (including scooping up the Woody Allen book in 2020). But choosing to ally himself with a child murderer illustrates just how deeply committed he is to platforming the eugenics movement.

CHD has energetically defended Shaw both before and after she was charged. Holland sat for a July 8 interview about Shaw with MAHA Action, a 501(c)4 advocacy group staffed by some RFK Jr.’s closest political allies. There, Holland was interviewed by Tony Lyons, the founder of Kennedy’s publisher, Skyhorse Publishing. And she pressed Shaw’s case in a New York Times article about the lawsuit, where she declared, “We’re probably the only organization that would take a case like that very seriously and put out information about it right away.”

The claim that people with infection-associated chronic conditions (IACC) would have acquired these disabilities no matter what stressor tipped them over the edge is a “pre-existing conditions” narrative. Eugenicists arguing that COVID-19 “only” kills the unhealthy, or that “only” unhealthy Palestinians can starve, rely on the same magical thinking about the invulnerability of “healthy” (that is, abled) bodies.

They killed the Nursing Home Transition and Diversion waiver. One of the ONLY lifelines for people in this state who are fighting to stay out (or get out) of institutions. I have been fighting to get people with Long Covid onto this program for more than a year. Going to scream and cry and throw up

Yesss. I think this is why I was so inspired by Derry when I first spent time there in college. Obviously there's lots of models closer to home, but I had never seen anything like that before. The resistance and the storytelling are inseparable from the layout of the streets.

Dear Community Partner,

As OTDA announced late this afternoon, New York State is completing the necessary steps to issue full November SNAP benefits to all eligible households. This is in response to a U.S. District Court ruling on November 6, 2025 directing the federal government to issue full November SNAP benefit payments to eligible households.

OTDA expects to begin issuing November SNAP benefits this weekend and some New Yorkers could have access to their benefits as soon as Sunday, November 9.

As we shared earlier this afternoon, on Monday, November 10th at 3:30 PM, DSS Commissioner Molly Wasow Park, HRA Administrator Scott French, and other agency leadership will hold a briefing call to discuss this and share other important information. After August 18, the SOARWorks website, SOAR Online Courses, and the SOAR Online Application Tracking (OAT) system will no longer be available. Technical assistance and training previously provided by staff at Policy Research Associates, Inc. (PRA) (operators of the SAMHSA SOAR TA Center) will no longer be available.
