Cultist of Sooty
@cultistofsooty
He/him. Old, slightly silly, and tired TTRPGer. Really quite gay.
The postie's been. She apologised to me for scaring off my cats. And gave me a very funny look when I told her they're not my cats. They just like hanging out in my front yard.
On 2 of the miniatures, almost all the paint is gone apart from traces in the nooks and crannies. The glue that held the halves of one of them together has dissolved. The acetone has barely touched the paint on the last mini. Like the one I tested last week, I think it needs another day to soak.
The postie's been. Some people are saying that after getting the latest draft of QuestWorlds Glorantha, Cultist of Sooty is back on his "I want to run an ER: Glorantha game" nonsense again. But what would they know? I've hardly even been watching ER and The Pitt.
Will it let you go to the the options and disable Copilot? (File Menu -> Options -> Copilot). If so, does it help? May still have to make a new notebook, but hopefully with Copilot disabled it would be without the nonsense. I have a licensed version; dunno if the free version will be the same.
More miniatures for the RuneQuest game at Chaosium Con. A gang of fire elementals this time - small, medium, and large:
Now we've played our RuneQuest game at Chaosium Con UK, I can post the miniatures I painted for it with no worries on spoiling it for the players. I won't go mad and post everything in one go, just a few at a time. First, Venebain the fire demon. He is a big tall boy:
Pictures of our RuneQuest PCs wouldn't be complete without Manuk, our Trickster priest, and his shield design - "badly drawn digitus impudicus". It took a few tries until I was happy it looked like it was badly drawn in character instead of like I did an inept job painting it.
I'm having a great time at Chaosium Con UK. My RuneQuest group seems infamous as "you're the ones who played till 03:00 to finish your game". When I get home I'll post pics of the miniatures we used. But here are the PCs. Mostly @fenrisgames.com with a backdrop by @handiworkgames.bsky.social
It's done. It's all done! (Apart from gluing sand and grass on the bases of the last two miniatures.) I've painted all the miniatures for our RuneQuest game at Chaosium Con UK.
I painted 2 more miniatures for the Chaosium Con UK project. That should leave 1 to go, but we added another player to the group, so now there are 2. This week's are, I think, my 2 favourite miniatures I have ever painted. I can't decide which is top favourite. I feel very lucky about that.
I've painted some more miniatures for our Chaosium Con UK RuneQuest game. Nearly there. Nearly there...
4 more miniatures completed for our Chaosium Con UK RuneQuest game - 2 SPOILERS and also 2 SPOILERS. I'm getting so close to the end of the project now. So close!
These aren't among the miniatures I prepped for our RuneQuest game at Chaosium Con UK. But I have the week off, and I've painted a couple of the upcoming Rubble City trolls from @fenrisgames.com. They were a delight to paint. And I have a few more that I'm working on.
3 more miniatures painted this week for the Chaosium Con UK RuneQuest game. I've also been working on a couple of the ones that have bigger/more complex paint jobs. Nearly there now.
This is a giant from @fenrisgames.com - painted to be a merchant and initiate of the god of trade in Glorantha. He's Hen Cik, one of the giants in Griffin Mountain.
I painted him for Glorantha, so not really "clouds and sky", but as a merchant and initiate of Issaries. I went for yellow and blue. Painting him contributed to me needing to order more yellow paint not long afterwards.
I can post a couple of the last few miniatures I painted with no worries for spoilers for our RuneQuest players, as they're PCs. Even *we* know our PCs are going to be in the game! Here are Flesso and Amalda, both from @fenrisgames.com
I only finished 1 miniature for our Chaosium Con RuneQuest game last week. I was away visiting friends for the weekend, so didn't have much painting time.
Some more miniatures done for the Chaosium Con RuneQuest game. I painted 4 SPOILERS and 1 SPOILER yesterday. 15 more to go...
Still working on miniatures for the Chaosium Con UK RuneQuest game. 50 done now! This week I painted a big SPOILER and 5 quite big SPOILERS.
I keep working away on miniatures to use for our RuneQuest game at Chaosium Con UK. I've painted 5 SPOILERS now, and I'm working on a big SPOILER.
I've painted more stuff for my Chaosium Con UK RuneQuest project. 10 SPOILERS and 1 SPOILER. This is the "eating my greens" stage. Painting groups of the same thing is something I don't enjoy. I find it boring and repetitive. Still, it keeps me ahead of target. 31 more to go!
Painting for our RuneQuest game at Chaosium Con UK continues. This week painted a SPOILER and her SPOILER, 6 SPOILERS, and a great big SPOILER. And I do mean big. Big!
The "paint miniatures for our RuneQuest game at Chaosium Con" project continues. Here's how it stands today, after I painted a SPOILER and some SPOILERS.
My project to paint a load of miniatures for our group's RuneQuest game at Chaosum Con UK has begun. I won't post any pictures of most of them until after the convention as I don't want to spoil it for the other players. But I have a tracker for how I'm getting along:
This week I have been painting air elementals for RuneQuest. The medium one's from Diehard Miniatures, the large one's from Reaper. I tried to put an extra bit of grey in the fist of Mr Punchy there, so it would like he was going to hit you like thunder.
