I don't know why I bounced off The Descent (2005) in the past and didn't remember it that well, but it is fully one of the most fucked up movies I've seen in a long time. Utterly bleak and hopeless outlook on human relationships. A desperate and painful ordeal long before the monsters show up.

replaying Pathologic 2 on my sick day. Third time is a charm. This playthrough I'm going to buy a gun, stockpile shmowders, kill bandits to improve my reputation, and find that cure before day 7. I might not be able to save everyone but I'm going to finish the game and get the good (future) ending.

Rabbit Trap (2025) absolutely wrecked me. I was a bawling, sobbing, mess. It's a very unusual and unsettling horror movie with avant-garde vibes and some great performances. It's a "the monster is repressed trauma" movie that actually does this well, without beating you over the head with it.

I really loved the first half of Man Finds Tape (2025), which includes a bunch of creepy ideas and some very good performances. I was disappointed when the mystery revealed itself. Camera footage is not what I like about the genre. It's about the plausibility for me; the suspension of disbelief.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has been more hit and miss in the last few seasons, but FYI the episode where they're all eating hot peppers like a drug is absolute gold, an all-timer, a tour-de-force.
