Finally calling this Stormcast Eternal model done! Decided to do thinned down metallics on the metal details to make up for my amateur attempt at NMMs. Considering I went in trying to emphasise difference between light and shadow areas, very happy with how this came out! #warhammercommunity #aos

#WIPwednesday and I'm still on this Stormcast Eternal on griffin thingy. Started with the flames on the weapon to use as a source for OSL and began my first attempt at non-metallic metals. I'm not happy with them so I'm going to use traditional metallic paints over these. #warhammercommunity #aos

Started yesterday, finished this morning. A paladin type fellow from @weprintminiatures.com along with their judgemental capybara buddy from @badsquiddogames.bsky.social . Brighter tones used with some dry brushing to bring it all together.

Went to a tulip field today and my wife took some nice photos of me while we were there, including this one!

Another mini I picked up from @weprintminiatures.com done! A different kind of goblin, this one some sort of gangster. I can't remember which company did the brick wall stuff, I've had it for years. Toadstools from an Oldhammer starter set. Such tiny detail on this lil guy!

Mini I painted couple of days back and is now matt varnished. From @weprintminiatures.com , designed by RNL Estudio, this mimic chest didn't take me long but I enjoyed trying out newly learnt techniques on it. And I think it looks adorable! Flagstone base sculpted with milliput.

Model that I just painted the other day. GW Night Goblin Shaman, I think the stand clip said 93? It was hard to read. Originally went for darker tones but when glazing colours it came out brighter, and I like how it finally came out. Base was moulded green stuff and a lil toadstool I put together.

Hair was slightly thinning or starting to regrow in a patch - either way I didn't like the look so the mohawk is gone and back to an all over shave. Plus it was always a hassle getting someone else to shave the sides to keep the 'hawk

Feel very lucky that we're close enough to the North-east coast that we can get there in about an hour and get to see Grey seals most of the year. Had a lovely time watching them from St Mary's lighthouse.

I emerged from the funk enough to edit some recent(ish) photos. This one is from when we went on a boat to the Farne Islands and I managed to get this beautiful pose snapped of this Grey Seal. This was in April, so not when they're in vast numbers, but they still have a good few there.

Tattoo I got yesterday, a memorial piece for my mother Deanne. On my left hand I've got little gravestones above each knuckle of passed relatives, but I wanted something special for my mum, and also I couldn't do this myself. Really happy with it, and it means a lot to me

I had originally been planning to be far further ahead with this model challenge at this point in the month, possibly even finished. But it has been, not to put a fine point on it, a fucker of a February. But it's built and on a suitable base, just need that to dry. Then the main fun begins

Unpainted grey miniature of a Khorne Bloodbowl player on a modified base. The base has been coated with green stuff, milliput, and some bark bits have been used, mainly under the one foot of the model that is connected to the base. This gives it an almost leaping pose. The model and its base are on top of a piece of folded newspaper and in front of a cardboard box.

I'm taking part in Travelling Man's Paintbowl challenge over February - given a Bloodbowl model, a basing material, and 4 random paints. The model can be kit-bashed a bit but focus remains on the model, I can use other basing material but I MUST use this one in the final product. 1/

The best gift I received was this blanket my wife crocheted for me. She only started crocheting a couple of months ago and did this in secret. It's so soft and I always want blankets on me when I'm sat or lying down. I love it and I'm so appreciative of it, of her hard work. I love her so much

My progress on my Typhus. Pleased. Yeah, its coming along. Cloud and flies still need doing

Miniature model of Typhus from the Warhammer 40,000 range by Games Workshop. This has been slightly customised. The model is an armoured figure with pipes and horned extrusions. In its left hand it holds a severed head, in its right hand, raised up, a grand scythe. A small demon clings to its right side. A cloud containing demonic flies is coming from behind it. Skulls, rocks, and a withered tree containing part of a skeleton are around the figure, stuck within what seems to be a toxic sludge that has been painted to give the effect that it is radiating a glow up the figure.

It's bloody cold here at our altitude, so I'm going to avoid going outside as much as possible (though might pop outside to puff on my pipe) and cook up a meat chilli and veggie chilli, shave my hair down again, and stay cosy. Have an autumnal stump
