Dr Who, whippets and running. Blog:
Ooh Matron! Hope Collection 6 is not too far off as it’s got my favourite movies in the entire run (Henry, At Your Convenience, Matron, Abroad - all 10/10 no notes).
Thought this was broadly great, although the first act stronger than the second. Really fun staging! #ASongOfIceAndFire
Playschool’s Hamble is dying to take you away. Dying to take you away, take you today.
Ha ha yes! “He didn’t do it he saved them they’re still alive but if he did they deserved it!!!”
Strong recommend for #DrWho The Hallamshire Incident: best Whittaker audio and more evidence that Rochana Patel is one of Big Finish’s MVPs.
Only about 4 people will care but I have wanted the very limited edition #Babylon5 Shadow Sentient figure for donkey’s years and finally managed to fine one at a not outrageous price.
Outrageous product placement (wonder if RCA thought it was a good return on investment) and a Scooby Doo mystery machine. Apparently the band were signed up to do three films - still waiting for episodes 2 and 3
Roy Dotrice is an alien in disguise sent to recover such a strange vibration and looks suitably appalled
A pre-Eurovision Olivia Neutron-Bomb and a curious mix of Anglo-American pop singers must save an alien species from annihilation thanks to their good vibrations.
Tonight’s SF classic (because @jonnymorris.bsky.social is “taking his own sweet time” to get to it*)
You earned the Buffalo Bill skin suit for doing a lesson today. It wears the suit or it gets the hose.
Having finally collected them all, I’m working my way through all 19 of the official list of Hollywood pre code horrors
#PreCodeHorror The Mask of Fu Manchu. The warning card is right - quite spectacularly racist. Beyond that, it’s a string of lurid torture scenes with some impressive stunts (including a Live and Let Die crocodile bit). Karloff plays Fu like Palpatine complete with lightning.
