Big day for the Schmidts: we passed the 10k-mile mark on our e-bike! 🥳 Shuttling my son to school and back, and many errands and fun trips between, it’s no understatement to say our lifestyle over the past five years is only possible with an e-bike. Fun to watch the odometer reset!

Welcome, Center Plaza, to the @cambridgemass.bsky.social @ridebluebikes.bsky.social family! The 96th station in Cambridge, it sits next to the Kittie Knox station—for now. It will move to Center Plaza once the Eversource substation is complete.

#Broadway in @cambridgemass.bsky.social is getting ready for its glow up. Street is milled, sidewalks and curb ramps are in progress, and new bricks about to be placed.
Two new @ridebluebikes.bsky.social stations launched in @cambridgemass.bsky.social: 125 Cambridgepark Dr (Alewife) and Broad Canal Way North (Kendall, pictured). These are stations 94 and 95 in Cambridge. Will we hit 100 this year? 👀
The real story is why are these public spaces cut off by a redundant street that we know isn’t needed?

This week saw @cambridgemass.bsky.social’s original separated bike lane—Vassar Street—extended along the Met warehouse! Excellent work @mit.edu!
Super wide crosswalks are most welcomed, but it’s not looking promising for the promised Dartmouth St two-way separated bike lane. Stop bars now stretch all the way across the street, including where a buffer and the contraflow direction of the bike lane would be. Any word @streets.boston.gov?
Dartmouth finally paved from Boylston to Comm. Looking forward to @mayorwu.boston.gov’s and @streets.boston.gov’s promised and designed extension of the two-way SBL. Thank you, @ridebluebikes.bsky.social for digging out and keeping bikeshare accessible! All stations in Cambridge have been dug out and any remaining stations in the region should be cleared today. Sidewalks and paths leading to stations could still be difficult, so please be careful!
Thank you to the stellar @cambridgemass.bsky.social DPW for keeping everyone moving! Streets and bike lanes are pretty clear in Cambridge, with lingering snow piles at corners to be cleared in time. Remember to go slow, be forgiving, and look out for another!
If you’re able, clear a bus stop. Our T operators keep us running and they’re very appreciative. Plus it’s a great way to connect with and inspire your neighbors.

Had a pretty frustrating experience. What started out as a polite conversation with a contractor blocking a bike lane turned to swearing and name calling (not by me). He was right next to ample, available loading space.
