6. Bring Her Back (2025) Director: Michael Philippou and Danny Philippou This is the first horror movie to actually make me feel genuinely bad for the villain and even cry a lil despite the fact she pissed someone else’s pants
5. Dog soldiers (2002) Director: Neil Marshall The werewolves look a bit silly but they’re movies fun and Davos being in it is funny to me

3. Wolf Creek (2005) Director: Greg McLean An amazingly atmospheric movie that makes characters you actually like, more like wolf peak

1. The Ugly Stepsister (2025) Director: Emilie Blichfeldt This movie absolutely rules! Its possibly my favourite body horror of this year

Book 5: Artificial Condition (2018) Author: Martha Wells Aug 28th-Aug 29th I love how this book took the subtler gender themes of the first book and just said fuck it and gave us a non binary character with neopronouns. I absolutely adore Murderbot they’re the best.
Book 4: Jurassic Park (1990) Author: Michael Crichton Aug 19th-Aug 28th This book is so vastly superior to the movie in every way, both versions are amazing but this one has so much more depth and is way darker than the movie. I loved it way more than the movie.
Book 3: Red Rising (2014) Author: pierce Brown Aug 13th-Aug 19th This book wasn’t bad but it just felt very very generic. You could slip any of the characters into another YA novel and they wouldn’t look out of place. I’ve heard the sequels are vastly superior so we’ll see.
Book 2: The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets Nest (2007) Author: Steig Larsson Aug 3rd-Aug 13th This book was an amazing way to finish out the trilogy, and I won’t stop saying how amazing Lisbeth is as a queer icon. Idk if I wanna read the non Steig books but I do wish there was more he wrote
Book 1: The Regulators (1996) Author: Stephen King July 31st-Aug 3rd (DNF) After how great desperation was I was genuinely disappointed by how bad this one was I barely got 100 pages into it before I gave up.
