Randomly just found this book at church -someone must have been having a clear out- and I’m sure it’s something I last saw about 45 years ago! A Proustian rush normally only @lbflyawayhome.bsky.social causes me to have!
Enough of your comedy “Monday again” gifs! I’m not sure I remember reading this in the Bible before, but Proverbs 27:14 (in the New Living Translation very much nails it…
I know someone has already posted a Getty mage of Ron Mael off of Sparks, but this is my own pic from a fab gig in Bournemouth last Weds, so I’m going to add it anyway… :o)
I just saw Sparks in Bournemouth and they were AMAZING. Such brilliant songs and a very tight young band (the guitarist has some Moves on him). You are in for an absolute treat. Oh- and Gorillaz too… :o)
That’ll do, pig, that’ll do… convenient that everything resets at midnight eh @christhebarker.bsky.social
I think third place will do for today: Letteris RULES (thanks @christhebarker.bsky.social )
Also, sometimes the banners don’t clear which makes it hard to see where you’re going to land something. Sorry! Please tell me to shut up if you like! :o)
Heh, forgot you was in Spaced @realpaulputner.bsky.social - just watching for the first time with the kids…
It’s fab @christhebarker.bsky.social - thank you. Let’s see how long my new high score stands as I need to stop playing and get up!!!
One comment- iPhone/Chrome sometimes higher up the pile a bomb takes ages to resolve and the game hangs- I’m guessing because it reassesses everything? But it’s ace ace ace and I must watch I don’t lose my Saturday to it!!
Loving this- thanks Chris! One comment- at one point the screen zoomed and I lost the list of words (or maybe it started like that then zoomed out) either way- it’s ace!! And I got the high score!
Had to look up ceviche: the etymology section on the Wikipedia page is both fascinating and startlingly appropriate here…
You say that now, but just wait until me and the Boy are staring you down in Oct from the second row at the Turner Sims… can’t wait though!! Last time I saw you was I think Salisbury 2018 supporting BNL and we met at the sound check…
Are you in the pay of Big Nasty Tech @boothbygraffoe.bsky.social ? I can barely make my phone recognise actual everyday words when I talk to it and yet it picked up your soubriquet perfectly, first time when setting a reminder just now…
All back and out kicking through the undergrowth. Almost as if they’re saying “Thank you, Uncle Andy!”
Yep- and try doing that in the big metal box that is a canal boat, having been stood driving it or locking all day. Still not sure we are getting the weather we expected when we booked back in Jan! On the plus side this was our view when we pulled up earlier…
“Think back to your childhood. Do you remember when the anxiety started?”
My wife comes from Barnstaple and knows vaguely where this is. She spotted the name…
Couldn't resist typing this in a work email this morning: nobody but me (and my wife who I'll show later) will understand and/or snigger, but it tickled me and I thought it might also be of interest to @countarthurstrong.bsky.social
O Frabjous Day! How did I not know this existed already- until I saw the Libremony pages posted recently?! Just what my Friday needed, so thanks @jasonhazeley.bsky.social @gralefrit.bsky.social - bought used (eco/life decision) but there must be a way to slip you a pint each somehow?
Find myself in Bridport and what’s this?! Comic Strip Presents… showing with Peter and Alexei Q&A?! Sadly am in Bridport to see Isaac with Dorset Youth Jazz Orchestra! Oh well… :o)
Thanks for the reminder: had forgotten about this and immediately got a like for what I thought was both a very clever and silly response…
Thanks @misterabk.bsky.social for a fab show- and sorry about the slight awkwardness afterwards- Anna really wanted to say hello, which is unusual (but also genuinely wanted to come and see you) - wife and son also loved it but hid after! We shall see you again next time! :o)
