We just did a deeper demo drive with the whole family in the @rivianofficial.bsky.social R2 and fell even more in love. I think everyone is convinced this is our next car now. We performance drive the iX3 this week before we finalize, but the R2 is amazing.

Fantastic charging on our #Rivian R1S at Electrify Canada in Saint John! 17-77% in 34 minutes and we hit a record at 222 kW (I’ve never seen more than 217). 52.62 after driving 86 miles with horrible efficiency of 1.97 mi/kWh though it was nearly 100 F.
The first major charge fail of our roadtrip, after two weeks and 2,600 miles without issue. Chargers in Moncton are 1/2 offline and half taken (and very slow). At least I got to see a Kia EV4 in the flesh. It looks quite nice inside and a great affordable electric sedan. Too bad US might not get it

We hiked Cape Breton Highlands National Park bog, search for moose early morning, then Gypsum Mine before the boys got their second set of Parks Canada Xplorers tags. Then down to explore Lunenburg’s UNESCO historic downtown for dinner.

1st leg - 240 miles NJ to VT in the books! We made it to Ludlow and Off the Rails, our favorite pizza spot in Ludlow. No problem with range, we have 20% to spare and had pretty good efficiency of 2.4 miles / kWh on the drive.

We are not far off from the BMW iX3 shipping to US customers and I just got an invite to test drive it on an auto cross course and on the road here in NJ in July. BMW puts on amazing driving events and this will be our biggest since our Z4 performance center delivery years ago. I am stoked!
