My Milwaukee Road SD45s ran out the final hours of the day. It was good to see them running once more. Many of the cars behind these engines are ones I haven't used in quite some time. I feel content with my efforts.

I brought my Conrail F7 with me, fresh off of its AC roadtrip, for its first laps at the club. It did pretty well but I need to troubleshoot a minor teething issue.

I wasn't expecting to see a 1936 Marx tin train set running today, but here I am!

My 0-8-0 got a little workout too! It's nice to run that cute and little thing.

I'll be absent from my local train club, due to my upcoming AC trip, so I'm running my bicentennial duo and whatever fitting cars I could snatch.

Saturday was hectic as I had to sacrifice my morning to getting my car prepared for my upcoming AC trip, but I still made it to the club in time to run trains. Here's my beautiful Southern Crescent passing by a freelance freight train. A few extra cars were added on as part of a private charter!

Yesterday was a blast for me running trains and putting on a show... so much so that I forgot to record or photograph anything! Here's the only video I took of my SD9 pulling my fan-favorite animated aquarium car! Passing by is my friend's B&M 2-8-4 pulling a long cut of freight cars.

Mauna: my sona for the past 11 years. He went through many physical and personality changes to where he is now. Pretty much my main comfort OC. His design is perfect; no more changes. Jewel: my oldest-created OC at 18 years. Like Mauna she went through many revisions and she's my comfort female OC.

Later on I ejected Thomas off the layout and I ran my oddball BL2 on the branch line with some logging cars and some boxcars. To get this heavy cut of cars up the steep grade, I had my friend use her other steam engine to push my train up the hill... just like in real life!

I took it easy this weekend with my train lengths. Now I'm back to more manageable lengths and it's fun to just sit back and enjoy the moments. My friend was running her steam engine and I ran my prized SD45X demonstrator. I had Thomas running on the branchline to entertain visitors.

I waited so long to pull off this silly-long train. It's apparently not my longest one but certainly the most challenging one thus far. I had to distribute motive power to avoid the train yanking itself off the rails due to how much resistance it had. I probably won't do this again for some time. XD

RIP: Rowdy, my favorite NASCAR driver since I was just a young teenager. I cheered for you through good and bad times, and I loved both of your championships. You'll be missed, as both a human and as a racer.

I think I'm one of only a few people motivated enough to swap out the steel rails on a piece of old "Power-Loc" track with newer nickel-silver rails. I was determined to upgrade this old animated crossing to the newer rail material to match the newer track I've been buying to replace older track.

Words cannot understate the amount of effort that went into getting these CNW engines to play nice together. However, they're finally tamed and working together as intended. As a reward, they get to pull my John Deere train, something they haven't done in over a year.

Update: dragon-duck is dead. He fell and got stepped on. :c

Quack? Rawr? I dunno, but they looked cute and I was reminded of Mauna when I saw them on their display shelf.

I got to ride in a Dodge Charger drift car. That was fun! Now that I know this sedan is a hatchback with a fold-down rear seat, I may have to consider one a few years down the road!

You can see cool sights too! I met famed female racing legend Shirley Muldowney (3-time Top Fuel champion from the 1970s amd 1980s), observed the detailed and rhythmic cleaning of the race surface, saw a vintage dragster, and watched a concept electric drag car run a 1/4 mile time under 7 seconds.

If you ever have the means to attend a NHRA Funny Car/Top Fuel event, then I highly recommend attending it at least once. There's something incredible about not only seeing 40,000 horsepower zoom by, but FEELING that power vibrate your very being. Absolutely unreal. Please wear hearing protection.
