Web dev & designer, of an age, drinking coffee, cuddling chihuahua and cat, into stories - books - films - tv - games -, Europe, kinda creative but sometimes lazy, not into bucket lists, no time for a new hobby (but always wanting to try something new).
This is a side project i forgot about. A bandana. It's not finished yet, but it fits both of us.
Went out. Bought a sketchbook. Got to the Artis Zoo. Ended up sketching in my old notebook, just because it seemed easier. Pretty proud of myself. #drawing #sketching
The weirdest thing. I saw a video exposing people who use ai to create artwork and I felt compelled to draw something, because some people put so much time in faking art that I wanted to put in time to actually be creative. Remarkable. It's just playing around. But so much fun.
New café for Saturday morning coffees. I'm not sure this is it. The coffee is good, but its not much of a cappuccino. And no complimentary cookie on the side, plus expensive and slow. But coffee good.
Sometimes we pretend to live in a time before we were born. And then we discover things don't actually change. Steptoe & Son, black and white tv. Funny, dated, but funny.
The #boardgame Magical Athlete is awesome. Look at the art. But also: fun that each token gives the player a different ability. No game is the same. And the combo if abilities of different tokens can be hilarious and frustrating.
Bought the boxset years ago on a whim. Enjoying watching Miami Vice again with my guy, who never watched it. It may be a little slower in storytelling. But it is still better than most of the offerings on streaming right now.
Morning coffee. I have a new cup and look! It matches my summer heat dress! I'm so colour-coordinated.
#knitting update: knitting on the train is awesome. I had 5 or 6 hours and I knitted up a storm! Turns out the blanket squares knitting was perfect for #travelknitting The orange squares were made in Berlin. I started blue when we went over the border to the Netherlands. #knitsky #newbknit #breien
Our short break in #Berlin was great. We went by train, took the dog, stayed at an apartment hotel, went for lots of walks. And of course we went everywhere by public transport. The dog enjoyed it. We even took him to the Tiergarten. Turns out that swimming polar bears are amazing and a bit scary.
Back from a trip to Berlin, Germany. With the dog, who enjoyed the change of pace. #chihuahua
Took this photo at Madurodam, a miniature park. These two figures are waiting at the airport there. I'm sure they're from different era's. But the look on the guy's face. He's had it.
Visited #Madurodam in the #Netherlands. A very modest attraction, but so much fun. It's The Netherlands in miniature. Pictured a mini #Amsterdam. So many interactive things for kids!
Dinner on Saturday is very often pizza. Always, maybe. This time while watching Star Trek Lower Decks.
I love it too. Paralives has actual gameplay that was lost somewhere after sims 2. I love the gameplay so much that I have hardly created paras or houses yet.
Does crochet last? Yes. These potholders were knitted by my great-grandmother. I do not use them anymore, because I fear not getting them clean again. But they hold. Only one lost it's scalloped edge.
So my chihuahua has been limping on 3 legs for a while. Vet prescribed painkillers. I think my dog is a little high. But probably just more relieved. Vet found nothing wrong. We think it's just a pulled muscle.
Let me share my #paralives creation. I was trying to create a regular person and I think this turned out pretty okay. I have spent a few hours actually playing before creating. It takes so much time! I do like the gameplay. There is gameplay.
