i've had a couple cartoons on this subject...

$two-panel cartoon of Trumpy (#45, volume 2), with the title/logo in the top left corner, "by the Dæricks Gröss" in the top right corner, the Studio G logo in the bottom left corner with "find us on BlueSky @trumpy.studiogart.net", and "Vol.2#45 01-18-2026" in the bottom right corner. Both panels depict Putin standing in front of a television in his office. The panels are exactly the same (though the first panel is a direct copy of an older Trumpy from 2018 and the second panel is a recreation, the Putins look a little bit different. Panel 1 Caption: "From Trumpy, Vol. 1, 07-11 2018" Television voice speaking: "Trump worries NATO with 'obsolete' comment" Putin speaking: "yes... good Trumpy. good boy." Putin thinking: "I love it when a plan comes together..." bottom panel of page 14 from comic book Justice League of America issue #108 from 1973. the JLA and JSA are finishing an adventure with the Freedom Fighters from Earth-X, when the collected heroes are discussing the challenge they just faced and in this panel Superman (Earth-2) confronts Uncle Sam (Earth-X) and says "Isn't it obvious? Uncle Sam, we accuse you and your companions of betraying America-- and the world!"

this movie has such a special place in my family's heart

comic book page from Innovation Comic's adaptation of Forbidden Planet, issue #3 (1992). Commander Adams, Dr Ostrow, and Dr Morbius discuss the implications of Krell technology and why Dr Morbius seeks to hid it from mankind, when a message comes in alerting the commander that Chief Quinn was murdered rather horrifically. Morbius ends the page with the ominous statement "...it has started again...".

The art is all painted by hand by illustrator Dærick Gröss. Sr., capturing the look of the characters from the original 1956 movie.

now that we're past the 11th, i can share some art i drew for @robwords.bsky.social for a presentation he gave regarding a few historical ninnies and twits whose "contribution" to English were less than helpful. this was great fun, and it was a pleasure to work with him on this. thanks, Rob!
