Have made the most of the Melbourne weather this week as winter is coming. I've spotted the hot air balloons landing in Fawkner Park twice this week with crisp but wonderfully still mornings. Spoiling the dog with early walks to park and afternoon walks at St Kilda beach.

Used to visit regularly with my previous JR Terrier - panicked one day as he swam well out into the channel in pursuit of a seagull - I'm not a strong enough swimmer to have mounted a rescue! Last visited there 2 weeks ago, a warm day but blowing a gale so not as nice as my memories - see old pic
It stopped raining long enough for me to give Barney a walk but a look at what was coming in from the west had me cut it short and it has just landed. A torrential downpour occurring now.
Sorting through stuff as part of upcoming house move and I came across these...I'm surprised I have so many and also why I kept them. A blast from the past !!
Anyone who has a dog will relate to this.....embarrassing when your toilet/bathroom has a sliding door and the dog slides it open when you have company!!
I started feeding a few nearby magpies a couple of weeks ago. Now one or two are in my small front yard every morning waiting for me. This morning this one spotted me making the bed & appeared a little impatient about the wait time so came in for a closer look through the window. Message received!
Maybe if he cleaned his Fearless Fly goggles he could have seen it decades ago...
If Dutton retains his seat and even worse, wins the next election I won't be holding back.....
