I’m excited to announce that I will be going to @fanfinity.bsky.social Spotlight: MSH in Brussels right after #MCAmsterdam as my *100th* large @magic.wizards.com event! I even got some cool sleeves from @dragonshield.bsky.social to celebrate. Plus between the events I have my 16th birthday Jul 23!

To end the day before #MCAmsterdam I went to a really fun party hosted by the awesome @women-in-magic.bsky.social community!

I also had the chance to go see A’DAM LOOKOUT today while in Amsterdam the day before #MCAmsterdam - the swing high above the city was a cool experience, and my dad @adamfischer71.bsky.social and I had fun with the name matching his.

It’s the day before #MCAmsterdam and we’re taking some time to check out some of the sights and attractions of the city such as The Upside Down Amsterdam which is basically right across the street from the event hall!

This first evening in Amsterdam I came across a Nutella pizza (at Happy Italy) - yummy!

Our flight to @magic.wizards.com #MCAmsterdam was cancelled the day prior but we managed to get new flights and made it here! Who else is here or soon will be?

I just drove to a brewery to head judge a 29-player RCQ - growing up can be fun! 😀 (note my dad was with me since I don’t quite have my license & I am not having alcohol there, but still). Thanks to AleSmith Brewing Company and TableTop Tavern for hosting the @starcitygames.bsky.social RCQ!

The final activity of #MTGMagicCamp Day 7 was each of the campers paired up and built 3 sealed pools that each of the coaches had already built and we talked about them afterwards!

In the morning of #MTGMagicCamp Day 7 we did a draft, but some campers were still getting out of bed…

On #MTGMagicCamp Day 7 @ccalcano.bsky.social walked us through his thought process for his feature draft at #SpotlightToronto !

The first thing we did on #MTGMagicCamp Day 7 was @walaoumpa.bsky.social led a discussion on the 17 lands data and a mock draft!

We did a late night Final Fantasy draft at #MTGMagicCamp Day 6!

While on the rooftop at #MTGMagicCamp Day 6 some campers kept trying to make a basket from the roof, and camper Aaron did the job!

#MTGMagicCamp Day 6 also happened to be the Fourth of July so we watched the fireworks happening on the Strip!

After watching the coaches build decks at #MTGMagicCamp Day 6 we all built our own with advice from the coaches!

In the evening of #MTGMagicCamp Day 6 we all watched the coaches demonstrate how they would build a sealed pool and @walaoumpa.bsky.social opened one of the most busted pools!

The next activity on Day 6 of #MTGMagicCamp was a session on creating sideboards and sideboard guides facilitated by @walaoumpa.bsky.social !

The afternoon of Day 6 of #MTGMagicCamp started off with a presentation by @nicoletipple.bsky.social on deck optimization!

At #MTGMagicCamp , campers were expected to help clean up and camper @robbieplaysmtg.bsky.social didn’t let his injured hand prevent him from taking out lots of trash!

Day 6 of #MTGMagicCamp was down a few campers and coaches as some had to leave, but there was still a lot of activity! It started off with a Modern league where everyone played a different deck and coaches observed with @walaoumpa.bsky.social taking notes on key findings by the group.

Nighttime activities at #MTGMagicCamp Day 5: while some campers have had to leave, the rest of us are going strong with me and camper Taokai playing modern while other campers do a team draft against the coaches and camper Aaron plays @magiconline.bsky.social projected on the TV!

One thing we did as part of #MTGMagicCamp on Day 5 was to pick out playmats that the parents had labeled as associated with Magic Camp and then we signed each other’s playmats as a cool camp memento!

In the afternoon on Day 5 of #MTGMagicCamp , @nathansteuer.bsky.social & @pg8.bsky.social gave a detailed walkthrough of their thoughts while playing vs. camper Ben as the other campers observed and discussed. It was very cool & a video will be posted later on my YouTube channel.

Day 5 of #MTGMagicCamp started off with a presentation by @nathansteuer.bsky.social and very interactive exercise/discussion about deck composition and mulligans in constructed, using Goryo’s in Modern as an example.

Top 8 draft of the RCQ on Day 4 of #MTGMagicCamp! It’s worth noting that we ran the RCQ a bit differently from others. We preserved the competitive integrity and followed all the rules, but we also left extra time between rounds to get feedback from the coaches. Maximum learning!
