Mom Bike Rider Stoop Sitter Thin Sliced Cheese Hater Unapologetic Enya Fan I like walkable communities and safe streets for everyone. We can have nice things!
Grey tree frog in the raised garden bed! First one I have seen here. 🐸
Post a perfect album from the '90s that isn't Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, or Alice In Chains
I’ve never seen so many police departments so enthusiastically want to enforce laws before. Why not this level of concern for driving infractions? Also some of these are wrong interpretations of the actual law or not what the code says it is because this is AI slop.
Your reminder that even in the suburbs of NJ we can have nice things. #bikingwithkids
Also saw this sweet Madsen bucket longtail out in the wild when we were heading out.
Ferry to Delaware, 18.5 miles around Cape Henelopen State Park, down to Rehoboth for french fries and ice cream, and a ferry ride back in the evening featuring dolphins and pelicans. Today was a good day. #bikesky
First family bike ride to the beach! 10 miles out and back over the canal to the cove in Cape May. Crossing Rte 9 was not great and drivers are absolutely psychotic but otherwise a pleasant, easy ride on the e-bikes with a trailer for the beach gear. #bikesky
Gloucester Co NJ lets plant some trees and get some mass transit going we are out of time. #showyourstripes
Saw thee Big Boys 4014 and 4012 today. Trolley museum was pretty sweet too, gift shop needs to sell some trollies though.
@swilk.bsky.social commented on a photo I took with a link to a bee print shirt that she had made. The t-shirt was good, but I couldn’t stop thinking about the painting. So I bought it.
I canvassed by bike for Bayly Winder today and it was kind of awesome. I
Yesterday’s special delivery. Early voting is on now and election day is Tuesday June 2nd.
It would be so quiet here without the constant highway noise in the background. Just a constant 66-76db done punctuated by trucks, jake brakes, and vehicles hitting the rumble strip.
Good morning from the garden, hopefully a safe haven for insects from whatever was sprayed in the neighborhood by the county last night. I’m sure its fine.
Record breaking heat today in NJ and it was too hot to drive! 5.3 miles round trip in to town to talk about the SWJEC bike rack project and sneak in a little safe streets advocacy. We can have nice things!
There is a joy you get from riding a bike to your mundane destination that can never ever be achieved by driving there. Once you experience it theres no going back and it doesn’t matter what type of bike you ride to do it. And that joy is just as important as exercise.
Lights out for the birds tonight if you’re in the yellow areas. They didn’t fly all the way from South America to smash into a building in NJ.
River Locust is blooming in the front garden bed. Not pictured is the little bumblebee with chonky orange thighs.
