Then there was that time in 2003 when the entire staff of GamePro took a team photo and, for the final shot, flipped the bird
"What if Mavis Beacon hosted Squid Game?" FINAL SENTENCE is battle royale typing to the death. Deeply unsettling, irredeemably dark, super tense, and a GOTY contender for me. store.steampowered.com/app/2413950/...
Now with context in case you are not aware of the (in my opinion) mediocre 1986 pinball machine from Premier
This is an incredibly deep and stupid pinball reference and I wholly appreciate it quarterlifecrisis.co/products/rav...
I enjoyed Balatro & Inscryption. Cheat Death feels like a nice spin on the mechanics of the former with the spooky vibes of the latter. You are literally playing dice (often poker-style) against Death, and you can both cheat. On launch sale, under $10 store.steampowered.com/app/3756340/...
SuperStation One in action — it’s been decades since we played Puzzle Fighter together
*sniffs cork* well, enjoy the movie, I guess, but the sequel was better
I enjoy fantastic stories but I'm not watching his speech tonight. I like coherent works of fiction. Current net approval is -23, a full 7 points below Biden's embarrassing -16 at this time and 13 points below the 2017 term. Failure is officially his legacy. www.economist.com/interactive/...
Rocksmith added Police songs to the library. First comment: "What you're not saying is these are cover versions!" Unless you are learning from Andy Summers directly, every guitar tutor is using their own personal cover version to teach you. As Frank Zappa said, shut up and play yer guitar.
At E3 2013 I checked out BandFuse. Pretty sure I did vocals on Jessie's Girl. I later joined the Rocksmith team, and they were competitors, so I kept the photo out of circulation. Holy shit. That's the one and only Nita Strauss. I GOT TO PEFORM WITH NITA STRAUSS?!?
It would have taken 30 seconds to find out that, while his experience was different from your own, it was also real.
What they said: Going to take off soon to beat traffic What I read: Going to beat off soon to take traffic
And when I said "here's the answer from months ago" it became "thx for confirming you don't care" etc -- childish trolling. When I said "that's incorrect" he just did it again. Then folks piled on. If they don't want to accept the straight answer, I can't help, and won't try.
“Why don’t devs talk to us? They need to be transparent on this issue” I chimed in and pointed to the previous public statement on the topic. It was not the answer they wanted so I was hit with incorrect strawman statements immediately. So, that’s why devs don’t talk to you.
Busy day of home improvement and Etsy work (bit.ly/katrinauch). I want to replace this mailbox altogether, but at least I got the crappy old gold metallic italicized numbers off. They looked so crappy. New reflective stickers for $3 makes me happy.
I am somewhat amused that any old media that a 20-something has not yet experienced, whether that be a game from the 2000s or a sitcom from the 90s or a movie from the 70s, now seems to get tagged as “lost media“ Or, you know, you’re just getting around to seeing it…? Welcome, enjoy, but c’mon.
Wake up babe, epic new dwarf name just dropped on the back of a pizza box
“What Trump offers is an easy escape from the pain. To every complex problem, he promises a simple solution … He never offers details for how these plans will work, because he can’t. Trump’s promises are the needle in America’s collective vein.” - JD Vance, 2016 https://theatln.tc/Y3fq9FZq
Every once in a while, I hear a popular song, think "I wonder if that would work in Huttese?" and it give it a shot. It rarely works out. Rick Astley really required a lot of effort and I'm thrilled I found a credible way through, but my notes are littered with failed attempts at other hit songs.
I think that’s my personal best. David Lightman would be proud.
