I like infectious diseases, crafts, and food. Probably in that order. Jersey girl, NOLA expat, now a Portlander.
Update: Drove a couple miles west of town and hiked to a waterfall. No smoke out that way!
Took our bikes on a bus ride this afternoon (then rode home via the Springwater Trail).
I bought this squeezy bottle of condensed milk last weekend and have already used like half of it making Vietnamese iced coffees.
Forgot I owned this shirt (purchased when I accompanied my ex to a test launch). Happy landings to the Artemis crew!
Why does the Resources section for RFK Jr’s new food pyramid look like a game of Cards Against Humanity?
Heatwaves hit different up here. Currently perfectly comfortable in my living room with just a fan.
The church down the street has a Little Free Library for puzzles, and look at this absolute treasure I found there!

Speaking of googly eyes, which one of you just sent me 5 googly luggage tags?
Y’all. I thought I had walked into the stinging caterpillar apocalypse for a second until I realized these were just catkins that fell from a nearby tree. Still getting over the trauma that Louisiana fauna inflicted on me. 😱
Oh hey, did I show you guys the surprise tulips that popped up on my back patio? Proper spring is a delight.
The best part of yesterday was seeing the downtown cherry blossoms on a nice day.
My lunchtime meeting was canceled, so I went on a little walk through my neighborhood cemetery.
Past me: Maybe I’ll go for a little run in the morning. Present me: Maybe I’ll go for a little run on my lunch break.
The best part of yesterday was seeing this sweet fire breathing dragon at the Winter Lights Festival.
The best part of today was meeting some cool new friends of friends at the Exquisite Creatures Exhibit at OMSI.
I’m still doing contract work for my old employer related to contraceptive access. The Office of Population Affairs and CDC publish the clinical guidelines that we use to design our programs and train clinic staff. The are no longer accessible on any federal government website.
