The sign that management put on the elevator cautioning us to use it with caution was not adequate. Someone made this one instead.
The elevator at my office occasionally imitates the Tower of Terror, and now I have a fun new way to express deep frustration to my colleagues.
Don't let him fool you. He is not a Delicious Pizza. He is a magician who just managed to successfully hide as his parents frantically searched for him both inside and outside the house for hours. A talented, rude magician.
Incredibly grateful to have my sweet boy home. If it is an option for you, always buy pet insurance. We'd have lost him without it.
Cats should be immortal and immune from all illness. I just want him to get to come home.
Update: toddler's theory was closer! Please enjoy a video of Eeyore, who DOES NOT HAVE CANCER, chasing his tail. (Historic video, he is still in the hospital dealing with inflammation and an apparent infection but he can come home when he resumes eating.)
My sweet boy, who has been with us for ~30% of my life, is in the hospital tonight. Awaiting confirmation of not great news. Holding out hope for my toddler's differential diagnosis (the litter robot may have bitten his booty).
The personalized flattery is especially weird to me. Hiding the name because I love the candidate, but I am quite certain they did not tell their campaign staff that I am one of their top grassroots supporters. I am broke. [I did my own estimates, the identical fundraising goal is a coincidence.]
I don't believe I have ever seen that angle on body worn camera when someone is already in handcuffs, nor have I seen cops taking photos of arrestees from the POV of the floor. Which of course isn't proof of anything. Just weird. [Reposting with alt text/blocked his face bc presumed innocent.]
Just the one sled dog so far, but she is one of those rare cases where reality beats even my Balto-fueled expectations.
And yes, protesters are already arrested unfairly. It's still an extra tool. Suozzi either doesn't realize, or else accepts that this bill will enable repression in a time of growing fascism. Either is problematic, as was his silence on the more urgent crisis facing the world last week. 11/11
Guess which House Dem has repeatedly pushed harmful narratives about asylum seekers being coached to lie by cartels? I'll give you 7 guesses. (Yes, of course it's @tomsuozzi.bsky.social.) Excerpt from: suozzi.house.gov/media/press-...
Oh look, another horrific attack on the first amendment. Among other problems, a town hall with an elected representative is not a religious service. It would be a good time for @tomsuozzi.bsky.social to loudly oppose this investigation and any prosecutions. But I'm not holding my breath.
Cassie prefers ice that brings neighbors together to go sledding and build snowmen, rather than to prevent the federal government from doing kidnappings and murder.
My dog finds that suspicious (on account of how much love she has for us in her flawless doggie heart).
Just because Cuomo lost again doesn't mean we can't insist he make good on certain campaign promises.
Judges should not set thousands of dollars of bail on people who are arrested for allegedly stealing necessities. (Or anyone, but that's a longer rant.) I am so angry and so tired of people dying because they are poor and vulnerable. The societal cruelty we inflict and accept is horrific.
Asked to guess the most common 311 complaints, Andrew Cuomo, without hesitation: "Homeless."
An NYPD officer with 24 college credits and 5 years of experience makes substantially more than I do as a public defender with 10 years of experience (and 7 years of very expensive higher education). No wonder @lasattysunited.bsky.social are ready to strike.
