Labour MP for Uxbridge & South Ruislip. Worked in healthcare, grew up homeless & working to make a difference 🌹
A resident on Floriston Avenue came to us after persistent flooding on their street was ignored by the council. My office pushed for action and works to fix the drainage issue are now scheduled. If you need help with any issue, get in touch at danny.beales.mp@parliament.uk
🚨 After repeatedly raising serious concerns about Hillingdon Council, I have now been informed by Minister McGovern that the Government has issued the council with a Best Value Notice. This is a significant development - residents in Uxbridge and South Ruislip deserve better.
Happy South Asian Heritage Month! Uxbridge and South Ruislip is home to a large and proud South Asian community. This month is a time to celebrate the culture and contribution of South Asian communities across the UK.
Yesterday was not the result we wanted but incredibly proud of this England team! They fought until the end. Gordon's goal was exceptional and this squad has shown real character throughout this tournament. It is a tough pill to swallow that our journey is over but there is so much to be proud of 🏴
It was great to spend time at Bourne Primary School for a Coram SCARF wellbeing session with Year 3 pupils. SCARF supports teachers in delivering high quality PSHE and seeing it in practice showed just how much impact this kind of provision can have on children's emotional development and wellbeing.
Home-Start Hillingdon provides practical, non-judgemental support at the right moment and that support changes lives. I brought together local businesses and stakeholders in Parliament to talk about how we can all contribute to this work.
Happy Disability Pride Month! This month we celebrate the achievements and resilience of people with disabilities and recognise the enormous value that lived experience brings to our communities. It is also a moment to challenge the attitudes and barriers that disabled people still face every day.
Lung health matters 🫁 Pleased to host the Taskforce for Lung Health's Parliamentary Reception to hear from the coalition of over 50 organisations committed to improving lung health across England.
I raised the ongoing settler violence and expansion of illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank in Parliament, pressing the Government on UK financial institutions' exposure to the financing of these settlements.
I joined Furniture Poverty UK and local housing associations to discuss tackling furniture poverty in Hillingdon. Too many people go without basic essentials like a cooker, fridge or bed. I am glad to back calls for housing associations to furnish at least 10% of their stock.
In 2024, 100 homes in Ruislip Gardens were flooded - a devastating experience for residents who have since faced concerns about access to affordable insurance. I raised this in Parliament, pressing the Minister on what is being done to help cash poor households fund resilience measures upfront.
I am very pleased to share that four new free breakfast clubs are coming to Uxbridge and South Ruislip this September! This delivers on the Government's manifesto commitment to offer free breakfast clubs in every state-funded primary school in England.
It was such fun to attend an evening of music and dance in support of Meninadança, a charity that uses dance to empower girls living on Brazil's BR-116 highway, one of the most dangerous roads in the world for child exploitation. Thank you to St Matthew’s church for hosting!

Introducing Future Start - the new Youth Employment Hub coming to Uxbridge this September ✨ This has been a long time in the making and I could not be prouder. Young people across Hillingdon will now have dedicated support to access employment opportunities.
The Fabian Society Housing Summit brought together some of the leading voices on housing policy and I was glad to be part of it as a panelist. The discussion focused on the barriers to building more council and social housing and how the Government can deliver on its commitments.
I am pleased to see the International Fund for Israeli-Palestinian Peace now launched by the UK, Canada and Australia. The Fund supports civil society organisations working across both communities to build the foundations for long-term peace.
Hillingdon Council is proposing to raise petition signature thresholds and remove automatic public hearings. After refusing to attend public meetings and making it harder to contact the council, this feels like more of the same. If you want your voice heard, sign the petition below.
A wonderful morning at the National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast! I attended with Andrew Thompson, priest at St Margaret's Church in Uxbridge. A special annual event celebrating the contribution of faith to our society.
The NHS wants to hear from residents in Hillingdon about health and care services in our area! Take their short survey here: northwestlondonnhs.uk.engagementhq.com/embeds/proje...
It was a pleasure to attend Mencap's 80th Anniversary Parliamentary reception and meet some of the amazing organisations in their network. For 80 years Mencap has been championing the rights and wellbeing of people with a learning disability -they're making a great impact.
10 hours later, and back at the desk, with lots of coffee needed. What a night and what a match! England are through to the quarter finals after a phenomenal 3-2 win 🏴 one of the best games so far! Bring on Norway ⚽
The NHS turns 78 today and it remains one of the greatest achievements in our country's history. To every doctor, nurse, carer and member of staff working across our local hospitals and care services in Uxbridge and South Ruislip, thank you for everything you do every single day.
I recently met with the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre team for an update on the proposed changes to cancer services. Here is an update.
Thank you to Hillingdon Chamber of Commerce Business Magazine for featuring my article on building stronger high streets and safer communities. Have a read!
A nail biting match yesterday but thanks to a brilliant second half performance, the whole country is buzzing. 🏴 After raising pub opening times with the Government, I am pleased extended hours have been confirmed for Monday so everyone can support England and their local 🍻⚽
It was great to visit Seetec in Uxbridge to meet residents participating in the Restart programme as part of Employability Day. Speaking with people on their employment journey was a reminder of just how much difference high quality employment support can make here in our community!
