Dan Sheehan@dansheehan· 7d And, new meme, unless it's already been done before:
Best Bond villain, wrong answers only...

Dan Sheehan@dansheehan· 8d Incredibly prolific film composer David Buttolph was BOTD in 1902 (d. 1983).
Over 300(!) film and TV scores, including HOUSE OF WAX (1953), THE BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS (1953) and the "Maverick" TV series.
A long and noteworthy career for a guy you probably never heard of.

Dan Sheehan@dansheehan· 10d Here for your amusement are my completely subjective and non-scientific difficulty ratings for this weeks game.
I always choose film scores that I admire and/or adore and then try to arrange them in ascending order of difficulty.
Hints included free!
See you here at 10am ET!

Dan Sheehan@dansheehan· 11d Here's one Ted Cassidy role most folks won't recall:
The evil and dreadfully stereotyped 'Injun Joe' on Hanna-Barbera's Saturday morning TV show "The New Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" (1968)
He scared the bejeezus out of this 8-year-old.

Dan Sheehan@dansheehan· 11d Without question, Lurch was Ted Cassidy's most famous role.
But I'll always remember him as the android Ruk in the 1966 Star Trek episode "What Are Little Girls Made Of?" (Robert Bloch, stellar script)
A riveting, intelligent performance by a talented and sensitive actor.

Dan Sheehan@dansheehan· 18d This Sunday marks 6 years since we lost our son Connor to mental health and substance use issues. He was 26.
He and his sister loved playing my "guess the movie score" game as kids, so this week's game will be for Connor: Five movies he really enjoyed.
Saturday at 10am ET.

Dan Sheehan@dansheehan· 20d Farewell to saxophonist Plas Johnson, who played the iconic tenor sax solo for the "Pink Panther" title theme.
He said: "We only did two takes, I think... When we finished, everyone applauded, even the string players. And that's saying something. They never applaud for anything."

Dan Sheehan@dansheehan· 22d The other movie that made use of these giant, unusual trees was PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES (2011)

Dan Sheehan@dansheehan· 22d This spot on the Hawaiian island of Kauai is featured in JURASSIC PARK (1993)
It's the scene where Grant discovers the hatched dino eggs nestled between the roots of a Moreton Bay fig tree, which we visited in the National Tropical Gardens.

Dan Sheehan@dansheehan· 22d Vacation Location Quiz #1:
New game, folks!
Guess the movie (or movies) that were filmed at the location I snapped this photo at.
We visited here during our just-concluded vacation.
There are at least two correct answers for this photo.
I'd rate this one Easy.
