Just so no one gets too worked up about pre-season. This was our pre-season when we won the first 26 of 27 games, (and drew the other against United). #LFC

This says a lot. They're not playing for each other. The dressing-room culture isn't right. It looked like there were some thoughts of "We're done now." and "I'm not getting injured in a 50/50 before the World Cup." As well as the "Football is stupid, this doesn't matter. My mate's gone."

Basically, football is a weird sport vulnerable to wild statistical variance because it is low scoring and full of random events. Which is part of why we love it!
In this case, Celtic should've won by 3 or 4 goals. But they just, missed. Dundee United didn't miss, and won.
Somehow this is all the new Celtic manager's fault, obviously. The one who's been in charge 14 days. He's making the players miss the goal from 5 meters.

This means that, barring something miraculous, relegation jeopardy in J3 has disappeared this season. Numazu are last, 6 points behind Sanuki with 4 games left. If they win all their games there could be something left, but Honda FC really have reduced that chance.

Reading “Liverpool and the Unmaking of Britain” and it is teaching me so much about where I come from, but also saying things which will be painfully familiar to people around the world today. Liverpool really was a pétri-dish for the Neoliberal future. Everyone from the city should read this book!
