David Avallone
@davallone
Writer and stuff. Comics and tv and film. The second-best dressed man in #comics. The Devil doesn't need advocates: advocate for humans, instead. He/him. All the things:
Here’s one example. Someone turned an old Avallone sleaze cover into a card holder. One funny thing: he hated that they made it “Mike” and not “Michael.”
I'm going to get through it, and so is he. We'll be fine. In fact, we'll be fantastic. Once we get through this thing. Sorry to vague post. There will be clarity about it down the road a piece. But it's so helpful to have figured this out. It happens -- the mirroring -- more often than not. 4/4
Another fun Graham Platner Campaign Cap you can enjoy in the wacky comedy COME AND SEE.
I googled COME AND SEE, for "laughs" and here's the FIRST GODDAMN IMAGE that comes up.
I'm noticed when losers are bright red with rage and humiliation their typing falls apart. Did this make sense in your head, li'l racist? Also, this:
The E Plebnista must be for everyone... or it is meaningless! You're goddamn right, Captain Kirk.
David Duke is, ironically, a great divining rod for the worst people on the Left. He figured Tulsi Gabbard out YEARS before Bernie Sanders did, somehow. This was 24 November 2016.
And tomorrow... Happy Former Leather Goods Clerk Captures Major Confederate City Day to us, as well. I love to see warrior cults destroyed my good men who'd rather be almost anywhere else, doing almost anything else.
New comic out today! Read all about it! And head to your local to pick up a copy! In LA, you’ll find signed copies at Golden Apple and We Can Be Heroes!
Huh. That’s so odd. You say I don’t hate billionaires enough, yet YOU didn’t say one word against the billionaire who just tried to buy California. I would think someone SO COMMITTED to hating billionaires would have posted about him a lot. Unless you’re just completely full of shit.
Have you ever seen a more elegant self-own than the name of this loser's blocklist? If you were trying to promote, say, AI or VR... you might consider NOT connecting them to NFTs and Bitcoin, in the year 2026. "Wrong about supplements vaccines chiropractors leeches flat earth germ theory."
It's a new series that just dropped the first issue a couple of weeks ago: Altered States Warlords. Altered States is Dynamite's version of "What If," and the question here is "What if Red Sonja traveled to Barsoom about 11,000 years before John Carter?" Here's the first issue covers:
Like all things Elvira, we broke some fourth walls in the process. Here's one panel from page two... which might give you some idea of the approach. (don't tell anyone I gave you a sneak peek)
But it is also a childhood memoir, a tribute, a snapshot of a time and a place, a collision between world history and family stories. The tension between the brutal reality of war, and the way that gets mythologized within a single generation. The Big Bad Wolf vs. a squad of US Cavalry, in 1944.
My dad passed over a quarter century ago. He’d be over 100 years old now. He was my best friend and he’s still part of my life every day, and (along with my mother) an eternal and undimmed inspiration. In January, I’ll be coming out with something about him, and us. Here’s one beautiful panel.
Here are the first two panels. As we all know, Elvira always breaks the fourth wall. So on page one, David Avallone and Cassandra Peterson are discussing how to make a satisfying Elvira comic out of her memoir... at one of their favorite bars...
Funniest thing is I was literally outside — or in an art museum — while he was posting that. Having a life. He should try it…
I wrote an "Elvira Meets Godzilla" comic, and this was my favorite panel.
She’s one of the most charming people I’ve ever met. I cast her in a movie I produced, and I still can’t believe this picture of us holding hands, (with my wife watching, approvingly.)
The big WW2 history buff didn’t see any WW2 movie, or look at a single picture of a Nazi officer, and recognize his own tattoo? You have three options: he’s a Nazi, he’s a liar, or he’s an idiot.
QTP with a great animated villain. In America, we called him Desslok, and he makes Grand Admiral Thrawn look like a second-rate punk.
I know using Google -- or knowing anything about the guy you're simpering over -- is a challenge. I'll help you out, Timmy. www.msn.com/en-in/news/w...
New comic today! I love the term "Planetary Romance" for this particular genre. This is an Alternative Timeline Sword and Sorcery Planetary Romance. If you dig that kind of thing, go pick up a copy...
