The weather’s forecast to be fine for pow wow tomorrow at Grand River (Six Nations), I’m looking forward to a great gathering. This was taken last Sunday at Scugog pow wow.

Scugog #powwow last Sunday. So nice to mingle with welcoming folks, and dance to the drums in the sun, and with pow wows being alcohol/drug free it helps keep the vibe chill and real. Such fine artistry and creativity on display too! #indigenous #canada #culture #ontario #creativity #firstnations

After mum passed, my sister took cuttings from mums garden and planted them around her own pond, to help keep memories alive. Roses, lilies, poppies, and more. They’ve all grown well the past 3 years and are now in full bloom, so last week I painted the scene. #painting #flowers #gardens #art

Hermit Thrush’s are, I find, usually keen to avoid humans. I hear their lovely ‘swamp angel’ song often through summer, but rarely see them then. Only during early May do they come close, like this one, which hopped to within a metre of me. #birds #photography #nature #wildlife
