The ratio of people joyfully celebrating to those trying to suppress those celebrations will be, at a minimum, 10:1, but probably more like 100:1, if not 1000:1. And I’ll bet most of those suppressors won’t really care, they’ll just be following orders (and happy to be breaking heads)

Any damage inflicted on Republicans is entirely self-inflicted, and began the day they decided it would be okay to let Trump do whatever he wanted to. Establishment Democrats have contributed almost nothing to that damage, by the way.
Adding my “agreed” comment here partially because I came of age in the 80’s and stuff like that below still give a small portion in the back of my mind the willies (even though I don’t believe), but still…
