What a fantastic 2013 Cantillon Gueuze. Belgian Flag label. Aromas of lemmon zest, wet wood and damp cellar. Soft, mild lactic acidity. Flavours of lemon, grapefruit, barrel tannins and subtle peach. Long dry tannic finish. A superb, elegant aged Gueuze.
What an amazing pub this is . St. Peters Tavern, Liverpool. A deconsecrated church built in 1788. Superb cask beer choice as well.

3F Vintage Geuze 2014. A truly superb aged geuze at the peak of its life. Soft mellow lactic tart. Aromas of wet hay. Flavours of lemon, subtle apricot and barrel tannins. Very long dry finish. Absolutely superb.
In Manchester to meet friends from California to show them some classic pubs and cask beer. Starting at the Grey Horse for Hydes Original. In great condition.
My Belgium trip ends in a predictable way. What a great 2 weeks this has been. So many great places, so many friends seen.

Enjoyable afternoon at 3 Fonteinen today for their release of single barrel aged lambics. Party atmosphere. Lots of international friends, great weather.
Always love a visit to Boerenerf. Great to see Senne again and have a passionate discussion about lambic.

Stop 8 in Namur. Another new bar. Arsène. Stylish decor, comfy seating. Friendly. Specialises in local beer. Enjoyable.
7th stop in Namur. Another new bar. Very craft beer oriented. Plenty of local Wallonian beers to enjoy. Enjoyable.
6th stop in Namur. Chez Juliette. First Namur bar new to me. Very impressed. Lovely place, friendly service. Interesting beer list. Will be back
5th stop in Namur. La Cuve a Biere. More beer choice than last visit. Comfy Chesterfield seating. Good selection of local beers. Another new one to me, an easy drinking floral Blond. Too hot to sit in the nice courtyard.
4th stop in Namur. The lovely atmospheric Le Chapitre. Another firm favourite. Unchanged, as good as ever, and all the better for it.
3rd stop in Namur. Barnabeer. Just as good as ever. Hundreds of interesting beers to choose from. Great place. Love it here.
2nd stop in Namur. Bistro Belgo Belge. Nice friendly bistro for food and their recommended beer pairing. A very acceptable Blond from a Wallonian brewery new to me. Pleasant terrace at the back on a sunny day.
A day in Namur today. Looking forward to visiting some new bars as well as old favourites. First is Au Ratin-Tot. Nice setting, looks out onto a square. Beer list much improved since my last visit and now definitely worth a visit.
Another excellent meal at Gebrande Winning today. Great food and beer pairing.
