Palace of Fine Arts, Feb 1963 The original, a relic from 1915’s Panama-Pacific International Exposition, was meant to decay. It did for almost 50 years, becoming a beloved landmark. So much so that the original was demolished & the replica we have today was built in its place. #sfhistory #sfmemory

It's hard to explain how I, a lifelong fan w/ 30 year season tickets, feel about the pride night thing. It's one thing for the players to be young ignorant sheltered men (please educate or trade them) but another for the team management to a insult their fans with the non-response. is this the end?

Can't see it here, but I'll wear the rainbow hat for the rest of my days

27th & Dolores, 1942 Southern Pacific's old main line was built in the late 1860's partly through undeveloped land that became Noe Valley & the Mission District. The railroad crossed Dolores & 27th intersection on large bridge. The last train ran in 1941 & the steel was recycled in 1942 #sfmemory

Last Days of Playland, 1968-72 Scanning about 100 slides and trying to sort out the dates, both of these have the same processing date of Sept 1972, one is obviously earlier & was reprinted on a Kodachrome Duplicate slide mount. I mean, there weren't 2 of these benches. #sfhistory #playland

El Crystal School, San Bruno Miss Watson's 2nd grade class 1971. I remember most of these kids' names, but not all. Can you find me? My niece was PTA secretary when this school closed a few years back and she retrieved dozens of binders showing class photos for decades. #sanbruno
