#Leviticus is just amazing. Maybe one of the truest teen horror movies I’ve ever seen. And its washed out, desert world of gas stations and abandoned factories is perfect for building real, sustained dread.
A vintage store with used books in Hyattsville, MD, called Sohy Arts. The book section is called My Dead Aunt’s books. Such a cool place and the staff were awesome. maps.app.goo.gl/RrgUrm3brFhL...
Cover reveal! They absolutely killed it on the covers for the Red Space series. Can’t wait to show you all how it ends.
True story: today in the cemetery a man walked up to me and asked if I was a ghost. Or was I human? He asked if I could see him. I laughed and said, yes, I could see him. He walked away but after a minute he looked back at me. I waved. He seemed reassured.
The Labord’s Chaneleon spends more time in its egg than it does out of it—just a few months, the shortest lifespan of any four-legged vertebrate. Just before it dies it shimmers with a hundred colors in a final, dazzling display. There’s no moral here. The story just moved me enough to share.
Got to meet @pftompkins.bsky.social last night at the Bell House! What an incredible talent—the Vincent Price of our time! If you get a chance to see #Varietopia don’t hesitate!
I’m 55 years old today, and still when I see a report of a new archeological site with fascinating, revelatory relics, my first thought is the same: “Am I gonna get to see a cool skeleton?”
Get ready for Spooky Science Lab Live, at the Flying Fox Tavern in Queens, NY. April 19th at 5PM. Nick and I will be doing something fun for this one, you don't want to miss it!
Weird synchronicity on my timeline… maybe I should stay home today
I’m looking for a hotel room for an upcoming trip. I’m was glad to see that this room included “hangers” but confused by the symbol they used. Q: What do you hang on a hanger that looks like, um, the generic AI logo?
No cheating, your last saved pic of a celebrity is your therapist… and I’m fine with it.
Perhaps not the best way to detect clankers, but at least they’re trying.
Sorry, Marion, that’s not Indie, that’s Ray Milland from The Lost Weekend! www.hollywoodreporter.com/wp-content/u...
