As I let the dog out and stood in the garden this morning, I took a few deep breaths and marvelled at the lovely dawn. Thought of this quote and how important every day is.
The sweet and innocent face of my sisters dog who had me up 6 times with an upset tummy last night. Felt sorry for her until she discovered a frog and picked it up to bring in the house. Dropped it just before the kitchen door thankfully!
My little old fella is 14 today. Had a lovely walk in his favourite woods followed by a pup cup with cousin Dolly who's staying with us.
Sat in a darkened living room quaffing an iced latte, rather marvellous in this heat!
Im on page 785 of 837 in Middlemarch and feel like this! (Middlemarch very good, can recommend).

Early dog walk around the nature reserve and a stop at The Underground Bakery for fresh sourdough on the way home. Sunday morning done right 😋
