In a public post on Facebook, Tesco Vee notes that his collaborator on Touch & Go fanzine in Michigan, Dave Stimson has died. Dave later moved to the Washington DC area and worked at Yesterday & Today Records in Rockville, Md. He was a quiet yet friendly guy. RIP

Because Park Police engaged in an unnecessary high speed chase after someone else, a moped rider in the Connecticut Ave area near the zoo was killed. Republicans in Congress have barred any rules restricting such high speed chases. There was a rally Wednesday in Washington DC to protest

Someone finally posted the Lamont’s schedule in the Lamont’s facebook group. The club doesn’t have a website or Instagram page , just a voicemail and that wasn’t updated the other day. But I still enjoy the soul and southern soul gigs I have gone to there. They’re having go-go now too.
