You would have been a Leveller — among John Lilburne (called 'Freeborn John' for his propaganda about natural rights), Richard Overton, William Walwyn, the political radicals who drew up the Agreement of the People in 1647-49 and argued at the Putney Debates with Cromwell, Ireton, and the army grandees. You wanted nearly universal manhood suffrage, religious liberty, equality before the law, abolition of monopolies and tithes, and a written constitution that would bind even Parliament. The grandees suppressed the Leveller mutinies in 1649 (Burford, where three leaders were shot in the churchyard). Many Levellers ended up among the Quakers, Baptists, and Whig commonwealthmen of the next generation. You are the founding figure of the modern English-language civil-libertarian left.
