There is a beat of silence. Viktor watches as Jayce chews his bottom lip and how slowly, inevitably, emotion wins over reason.

“No.” Jayce says quietly, an edge of defiance in his voice.

Viktor huffs, more amused than offended. But he is nothing if not a patient and generous lover. And maybe also kind of petty.

“Alright.”
