It’s an exciting time at Abbey View Bird Bistro. Last evening our hometown Pileated Wood Pecker, Mr. Big, enjoyed a nice quiet drink at the local watering hole. That is until the rogue Squirrel decided to join him. Mr. Big responded. He got his feathers in a twist!

We have 4 babies! Baby juncos typically fledge (leave the nest) just 9 to 13 days after hatching.The entire nesting cycle is incredibly rapid. Eggs take 12 to 13 days to hatch. Chicks grow their flight feathers very quickly and leave the nest in under two weeks.
Finally! A Red-breasted Sapsucker swung by Abbey View Bird Bistro, and we were totally jazzed! What a hoot! You can't imagine our excitement. They came back for seconds, thirds, and maybe even fourths today. Hopefully, they'll tell their feathered friends and give us a five feathers up review. ❤️🖤🤍
