It’s a bit cooler out so I’ve decide swinging on the egg chair with a dog on my lap and two cats nearby & listening to birds is a better strategy for emotional regulation. I’m feeling a bit better after 30 minutes of that.
It’s hard to be annoyed about the bed for long when she’s this cute. Feeling less overwhelmed albeit still quite stressed.
Nap has been thwarted by funky smell that turned out to be dog wee on the bed. Cue. Strip bed. Treat matteres, put on wash, move to spare room. Not feeling relaxed. Luna says it wasn’t me. Get rid of the smelly dog. Ps: sometimes Stella gets over excited if she’s alone with Luna & wees on beds
Back to normal although not quite routing as I didn’t do my swim this morning. Stella is falling asleep on me outside.
I had an angry chicken bowl for lunch. Still not sure why the chicken was angry though.
There are but my dad can’t cope with the heavily chlorinated water in most standard pools. We went to a thermal salt water spa that has a warm 34 degree and a 27 degree outdoor pool and lots of loungers and trees outside. The 27 degree pool was ok for swimming but only non serious swimming,
Two scoops of gelato: tartufo and kinder bueno. 3.60 euros Ice cream makes everything better. At least temporarily.
I still haven’t recovered from travelling and had trouble to get to sleep last night. So my body battery didn’t get back up to 100% over night.
I think they’ve also blocked me now but honestly they were the ones who started it with this one
Best bird name ever (middle one). Just started recording in my parent’s garden on the Merlin app.
Rosie is living her best life in the shade outside even though it’s already 29 degrees out there.
I might have used AI for this. Apologies to all who don’t like anything with AI - i use it sparingly but i do like to occasionally make silly pet photos.
I tried to convince Stella to do all the chores on my list today but she gave me side eye.
I had a 2hr nap and been on soda for an hour and I’ve now managed to repaint my toenails for my 2 weeks off. B is cooking tonight, so all that’s left to do today is some light washing up of a couple of pans later.
Rosie is very busy chasing bugs in the garden today. It’s comfortable outside in the shade at 25 degrees with a nice gentle breeze. I’d be even more comfortable if the hot water bottle (Stella) wasn’t on my lap though.
Plumber came and he got our outdoor tap working again and we can use the hose again. It had stopped working just in time for the heatwaves. Stella was unimpressed by being sprayed by the hose. Even though the water pressure is very low. She says time to hide her face in my lap.
Just saw this on the Friday swim schedule and thought who the heck thought was a good combination at the same time in an open plan area where the pools are in the same room.
What do you mean I wasn’t supposed to dig in the dirt hours after my groom.
