Attempted Rick Bayless’ yellow mole& chicken. My guajillo peppers were probably too old-the sauce came out kinda brown, I substituted allspice & more clove per other recipes instead of leaves, and no green beans (they looked terrible at the market) BUT despite all that it was a good 1st attempt!

So as an avid home cook, I aspired to make “fancy” food for a long time-I did ok. As I’ve gotten older I realized I just don’t have the time. Now I just aspire to make homestyle food & execute it well. That’s a homemade rice pilaf w/ orzo, a slow smoked/seared pork chop, and stir-fried broccoli.
