So, we've got roofers replacing our roof. Then starting today, the city is tearing up our sidewalks to replace them 📢😖 I finally gave Cat some CBD oil to help him through this. He was making a permanent home under the dresser and poor boy needs to eat and go potty. Shoot, I may take some too 😂

@anotherplumbob.bsky.social's adventures in Sims 3 has got me launching the game again and I wanted to show off one of the best creators ever to hit the Sims 3: Mr. Green. They recreated Sims 2's Strangetown down to the last brick. They even included builds from the PSP game. And luckily for us 1/

What in the herald-of-the-apocalypse is this?! Sims THREE on sale through EA?! When was the last time that happened? I've seen Steam do incredible deals on the Sims 3 but I've never seen EA put their 13 year-old game on sale.

For the second time in 6 years of playing Sims 4, my active sim won the lottery! The first time was my first week playing with my very first family. That made me think it happened often but, yeah, we all know that's a no 😂 It happens so rarely, I think I need to buy a lottery ticket too lol.

CDC Alters Webpage to Say Vaccines May Cause Autism

A Centers for Disease Control and Prevention webpage that previously made the case that vaccines don't cause autism now says they might.

The contents of the webpage came up during Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s Senate confirmation process. Sen. Bill Cassidy (R., La.) in February said Kennedy had assured him that, if he was confirmed, the CDC would "not remove statements on their website pointing out that vaccines do not cause autism."

The revised webpage says: "The claim 'vaccines do not cause autism' is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism. Studies ignoring a link have been ignored by health authorities."

The new text posted Wednesday also notes that the Department of Health and Human Services has launched a "comprehensive assessment" to probe the causes of autism.

Some CDC staffers said employees were blindsided by the move, and that leadership overseeing the agency's birth defects and vaccine work didn't review or know about the changes before they posted.

The webpage had a focal point for both vaccine skeptics, who criticized its earlier language, and public health advocates, who wondered how far Kennedy would go to change federal agencies' language around vaccines.

The page previously said: "Studies have shown that there is no link between receiving vaccines and developing autism," citing a 2012 National Academy of Medicine review of scientific papers and a 2013 CDC study.

The new webpage says the CDC's previous assurances on vaccines and autism violated the Data Quality Act. It suggests aluminum adjuvants could be behind the rise in autism cases. "Though the cause of autism is likely to be multi-factorial, the scientific foundation to rule out one potential contributor entirely has not been established," the new page reads.

Postponement of H1 FY2025-26 Results Announcement

Paris - November 13, 2025 - Ubisoft announces postponement of the release of its results for the first half of fiscal year 2025-26.

Ubisoft has requested Euronext to halt trading of its shares (FR0000054470) and its bonds (FR001400DV38, FR001400MA32, and FR0014000O87) from the market opening on November 14, 2025, until the publication of its first-half 2025-26 results in the coming days.

Ubisoft will inform the market of the date on which trading will restart.

Oops! Looks like we're getting a new kit at some point 😂 This was marked with a red dot when I opened the game today but is unavailable for purchase. The leaks are coming from inside the house 😂

A new kit for The Sims 4 called Autumn Apparel, filled with clothes for our sims with things like sweaters, blazers, long pants and long skirts. It says "This pack is unavailable for purchase."

Ah, so here's what the update's about, an adjustment to how long it takes to "Confirm" if you change which packs you use in the new pack disabling feature.

An update is rolling out now that resolves the extended length of time the “Confirm” button remained greyed out after players disable packs based on community feedback.

NOTE: The actual time delay is largely specific to the specs of your machine, though some delay on the Confirm button is necessary to ensure that all selected packs are fully loaded before players can confirm any changes. This delay ensures packs load correctly, which provides a smoother and safer experience for players when managing their pack selections.

It's not lost on me that they're having their developers train their replacements right now. For those who haven't read the article, this is where I mistakenly thought the build tools were for us, not the devs. Teach me to skim... 🤦🏻‍♀️

On the internal tech side, Miele talked about EA's asset library, which she described as "like the Smithsonian of game assets." Essentially, EA has a massive database of assets from all of its games and work behind the scenes over the years, and it's using it to train its machine learning capabilities and large language models. Those capabilities are then being used by the company's "SEED" innovation lab, aka "Search for Extraordinary Experiences Division", for things like EA's "Script to Scene" tool.

Script to Scene lets developers "create characters, direct performances, and define worlds all from text." Miele shows an example on screen, prompting an AI chat assistant to "build me a Parisian-style residential building." She then asks to make it taller, changes it to a modern high rise, and expands it into a larger neighborhood. With Script to Scene, Miele claims EA developers could eventually make an entire scene in a game using simple text prompts.

Yeah, I figured it out shortly after that the tools they're talking about in the paragraph after this one ⬇️ is for the developers, not us. I actually wouldn't mind a picture search tool for builds. However, the kind of sim creation they talk about sounds like Gen AI and my point still stands on that

AI Examples

In the talks that followed, a number of EA leads highlighted ways in which EA was already working with AI tech in its existing games. Laura Miele, president of EA entertainment, technology, and central development, talked about something called The Sims Hub, the first AI features coming to The Sims universe. EA plans to release a platform with "supercharged discovery tools" that use AI to allow players to find user-generated content more easily. She showed off an AI application that uses a photo search feature, allowing users to drop in photos of real life houses and then find user-generated houses that look similar to them. (highlighted) Miele also highlighted how the AI can be used for character creation, with users able to drop in an image of a celebrity or person in a certain outfit and then generate a Sim that matches up. Is anyone else seeing this? Is one of my mods making this happen? The Manage Households icon is showing up in place of the Options icon. When I hover over it though, the icon changes back to the three horizontal dots. Same thing with the actual Manage Households icon. They work and all - just weird.

This patch has broken far more mods than anyone anticipated, including but not limited to all or most Mod Constructor-created mods, UI Mods and a few other major script mods.

To give our team time to continue assessing issues, and to prevent them from having to repeat themselves every other second to tell everyone to remove their broken mods, our support channels are closing for awhile.

<#285507016267530252> will remain open for Deaderpool patrons. We stress that if you have patched your game today, you need to __remove your mods and play vanilla until they have been updated or cleared as ok by their creators__.

I've started my "Touring The Packs" save, featuring Bella Bachelor from Coolpuppy's DooDoo save. I'm going in order so I'm starting with Outdoor Retreat and already, here's a cute find. I didn't realize there's an animated woodpecker making the woodpecker sounds in the background. He's so cute! 🥰

Dang, are the Ailments THAT bad? The Sims Direct said they're gonna put out a toggle to turn them off in a future patch. I seriously appreciate them listening to player feedback - thank you so much team. I don't have the pack though but I thought the update helped?

We've heard your feedback on Ailment tuning in Enchanted by Nature and we're developing a toggle to enable or disable Ailments spreading contagiously, coming in a future patch. Once disabled, Sims who already have Ailments will need to wait it out or seek a cure, but no more Sims will contract Ailments through spontaneous spread. By disabling both Enable Balance & Imbalance and Enable Ailment Spread, this will disable all natural sources of Ailments.

We’ll have more info to share with you once we’ve confirmed a release date.

It's not just homeless people though. They used "or" phrasing, as in homeless OR addicted OR mentally ill. They didn't use "and", so really, all they gotta say is a person is a danger and mentally ill to start civil commitment proceedings.

Cool cool cool. So anyone on a HUD program with a mental illness, iow - information now allowed to be collected (and shared with law enforcement) as a condition of these programs. Unless this can be stopped.

(b) The Secretary of Housing and Urban Development shall, as appropriate, take steps to require recipients of Federal housing and homelessness assistance to increase requirements that persons participating in the recipients’ programs who suffer from substance use disorder or serious mental illness use substance abuse treatment or mental health services as a condition of participation.

(i) allow or require the recipients of Federal funding for homelessness assistance to collect health-related information that the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development identifies as necessary to the effective and efficient operation of the funding program from all persons to whom such assistance is provided; and

(ii) require those funding recipients to share such data with law enforcement authorities in circumstances permitted by law and to use the collected health data to provide appropriate medical care to individuals with mental health diagnoses or to connect individuals to public health resources.

For those of us that lament the family tree system in Sims 4, did you know you can export a GEDCOM file via MCCC and import that into your favorite genealogy program? Make sure you have mc_gedcom.ts4script in your MCCC folder, then in a cheat window type "gedcom founderfirstname founderlastname" 1/

New from the Sims Direct regarding today's update. Looks like they're gonna fix some of the major bugs. Check out what they say about the pregnancy bug especially. We may have to restore previous saves to get rid of it. PS. With how small the text is here, I recommend the alt text. #TheSims4News

A patch is rolling out now for The Sims 4 with fixes addressing the following:

- The ability to drag spoiled items from Object and Sim inventories to the trash or sink has been restored.

- The Sharing is Caring Whiteboard can be placed once again!

- Gnomes have stopped constantly wiggling, jumping, or shaking after being placed from Build Mode.

- Plants will keep their names and information when placing a Lot with gardened Plants from the Gallery.

- Household members that have custom painting and are placed via Manage Households no longer lose their texture when you switch to that household. This includes Cats, Dogs, Horses, Werewolves, Fairies, and regular Sims.

- Seed packets from Gnomes can now go into your Sim's inventory with the "Put in Inventory" interaction.

- We have addressed stability issues introduced in a prior update on consoles. We will continue to monitor closely.

We've identified the issues impacting Sim pregnancy; this change was made as part of tech optimizations, however after consideration we're working to revert this to resolve these issues. You can can learn how to store a previous save here: hyperlink to instructions.

Nintendo's 1982 game and watch wide screen handheld game, Snoopy Tennis. There were two games you could play where Charlie Brown or Lucy would lob tennis balls at Snoopy and you would move Snoopy up or down on the screen to hit them back.
