I also have some screened-on dice, but I don't use them because they wear. These "Demon-Orc" dice from Gamescience were used in much the same way as Flying Buffalo's Death Dice. The bottom dice feature Grimtooth the troll, mascot of the Grimtooth's Traps line of gaming accesories.
Most of the dice collecting I do these days has to do with Tunnels & Trolls. Flying Buffalo sold "Death Dice," with a skull in place of the "1." Used for wandering monsters, Spite Damage, etc. These are the varieties I have, but there were many more.
I recently bought an incomplete Golden Heroes box set that I didn't need for $20, because I spied these in the box:

That's a great reason. There was some quality work in later D&D, but it felt less... "dangerous?" Early stuff seemed more underground, in the same way buying cassettes from bands on Combat Records did later in the decade... (not my cassettes, unfortunately). Felt like being part of a secret club.

I've been re-reading Warlord, an old sword & sorcery comic series from the great Mike Grell. It's about an Air Force pilot who bails out over the Arctic, finding himself in the hollow earth land of Skartaris. A world of sorcery, swords and dangerous creatures. Of dinosaurs and demons. It premiered

William Forsythe is 70. Y'know, I've seen a few bad movies (and some really great ones) with William Forsythe in them, but I've never seen a bad performance by William Forsythe in any movie, ever.

Ever see the UK editions of T&T by Corgi Books? They had art by Josh Kirby that had that same aesthetic. Plus they were paperback sized, which I maintain is the perfect size for RPGs.
