the anime expanded on this section of the manga with additional scenes of Coco and her mom and it's like the best thing ever
The Yomi no Tsugai premiere is as ridiculous(if not more) as the chapter it is adapting I'm really excited for the rest
That said while the directorial flair is there I'd have hoped for Toshiyuki Kato's part of the episode to feel less "normal". SBR adaptation on a whole definitely seems to be closer in approach to GW in that regard than Kato's DiU. Hopefully it'll have the animation power necessary to keep that up.
Despite the amount of jankiness, i'm pleasantly surprised by the Steel Ball Run premiere. It was a ton of fun The Jojo franchise has a special place in my heart and it's a bit surreal to see SBR finally adapted into anime form.
Naoko Yamada has always excelled at using color in her storytelling, k-on s2 is packed with it, but this is where i think it truly reaches the next level gorgeous film with so much information packed in every frame
