Political content. Cutting through the distraction. Focusing on what's broken: the system, the media and the economy as well as on the climate crisis. Dev Raval is the human running this account.
The danger was never that Burnham is different from Starmer. It's that he's better at selling the same nothing. He's just a better con man.
Making arms manufacturers even richer is not how I thought we would end 40 years of Neo Liberalism...
Burnham said he wants to end neoliberalism and end factionalism in Labour. Then look at who he sacked. Pure factional clearout. Now look at this cabinet. Name one person who has been a consistent, public critic of neoliberalism. Take your time. Same product. New packaging. Day one.
Burnham: I'm against Neo liberalism Also Burhnam: my three mentors are three of the biggest Neo liberals in Labour #ShapeshifterBurnham
75% of the public want a 2% tax on wealth above 10%. The Greens are the only party proposing a genuine wealth tax. All establishment parties are against taxing wealth. Instead they all want to make "tough choices" about public spending.
"Bent as a two pound note" as they would say in my old manor. The failure of both main establishment parties is why so many have ended up believing this con man.
Even some parts of mainstream media are now highlighting there's nothing there with Burnham. We have no idea if he has a plan let alone what it is, what his priorities are and what he stands for. An exact copy of Stamer's failings. This won't end well.
No argument from me on this. The numbers will be different but this pretty much applies to the UK.
Oh FFS! We’ve had non stop spending cuts since 1979. What are cuts going to achieve under Burnham that they haven’t achieved in almost 50 years?
This data for London only including 1 million homes, and 60 hospitals at high risk of dangerous overheating. So what's the plan Andy, Kemi, Nigel ? How will we prevent the health issues and disruptions? Looks like the Greens are the only ones who'll do something.
Not just 100+ Labour MPs that want Starmer to go but also Foreign Secretary Home Secretary Energy Secretary + A "sizeable number" in the Cabinet Starmer is a fool he should go on Monday. Cabinet on Wednesday and then PMQs will be vicious. He can't be dumb enough not to say he's quitting before then?
1 of 2 Beth Rigby and the political press are getting very excited. Let's apply some cold water. Makerfield was a referendum on the most unpopular PM in modern polling history. Voters had one simple calculation: vote Andy, get Starmer out.
Shame on every news programme and presenter who doesn't make clear the social media ban for under 16s actually means a national digital ID scheme for every adult who uses a device. Added bonus, US tech oligarchs like Musk will hold this ID data.
It seems like I won't be watching CNN much more. It was a decent look into how the US sees the world. It looks like it's going to turn into a propaganda outlet for the terrorist state.
