Just saw a phenomenal concert at Wolf Trap in Virginia. Sarah McLachlan with opening act Allison Russell and the Rainbow Coalition. Wow. Sarah’s voice is the same as it was 40 years ago. Happy they are good with non-flash photos with cell phone. If you ever get a chance to see her live, please do!
Happy Belated Canada Day! Hope you had fun. Looking forward to watching Canada win the FIFA 2026 World Cup soccer/football game on Saturday vs Morocco. Cheers!

Attended The Glaucoma Foundation Gala in NYC last night. Wonderful to celebrate our partnership in co-funding glaucoma research by Drs. Audrey Bernstein and Arunkumar Venkatesan on exfoliation syndrome. Here are some photos from the evening.
Took this in the week leading up to Easter in Old Ellicott City. When the sun was getting lower in the sky, casting shadows. Does this have a chance in photo competition as a street scene? Thoughts and suggestions welcome. For example, would it be better in black and white or cropped further in?
Another option set. If go with black and white landscape theme, any two or more do you think are your preferred for printing and hanging on wall in gallery?
Question for y’all out there. Which two of these might look good printed and hung in a gallery? Need to choose some for our club’s show.
Last night, I submitted four images to #BaltimoreCameraClub Print Competition. One of my B&W images won second place in the Associate Monochrome competition! It is one of my images taken on the Underground and Medieval Torture Chamber tour of Prague last September. Title: Last Supper Enjoy!
Advocated today in DC at Congressional Briefing for #agerelatedmaculardegeneration funding to NIH & NEI. Thanks to NAEVR/AVER & AMDF for inviting @brightfocus.bsky.social to give a private funder’s perspective. Only by working together can we keep the research pipeline moving to make AMD history.
Check out my April and June photos in the 2026 Edgar Allan Poe calendar. If you’d like your own, click to order. Baltimore Camera Club members donated the use of our photos, to support the Poe House in Baltimore, where he wrote many of his masterpieces. Enjoy! https://poe-baltimore-inc.square.site
Four phenomenal member speakers at #BaltimoreCameraClub this week. Shailesh Waikar, Rich Eskin, Kenny Epps and Phyllis Bergman taught us about how to use AI to revive old photos, Senescence, Event photography, & successful hiding of Jewish people in WW2 Amsterdam Zoo. Stay tuned for YouTube video.
Sharing two photos I took in Okanagan valley in British Columbia at Christmas. Submitted for competition to Baltimore Camera Club last week, but judge said that they didn’t resonate with him & said ‘There isn’t anything wrong with it. It just needs more right’? Should I change? How? Advice welcome.
