Jane was always my idol, and her passing deeply saddens me. I remember rewatching documentaries about her life, always struck by her kindness. What impressed me most was her sense of calm, something that seemed to sustain her as she pursued a rewarding life dedicated to activism.

The end of a cycle. Rita defended the PhD yesterday, and as a proud supervisor I just say "my job here is done!" This world needs more people like Rita, committed, with perseverance and loads of patience. As a plus she will solve all our problems transforming scientific findings in real actions.
