I also got incredibly close to a hunting heron on the river near Crook Hall.
I had a lovely morning at Crook Hall in Durham. Here are some pics.
This evening I finished the steampunk-themed scrapbook I've been working on for quite a few months. I'm really pleased with how it's turned out! Here are some photos.
Do you think the spammers are trying to flog dodgy AC units with their AI slop right now? (It's OK I have multiple adblockers etc- this just came up as a one-off on my backup browser that I only use for work)
Plymouth has the national maritime aquarium and it is HUGE. They have the biggest tank in the UK here, and it's home to a sea turtle, several sharks and rays as well as assorted fish and jellyfish.
First sets of photos from my Plymouth holiday! Here are some pics from Plymouth Hoe - one of the areas of the waterfront.
I've had a lovely afternoon - toddled down to our local woodland and got some photos of the bluebells which are now in full bloom. So good for the soul to just wander round the woods a bit!
Photos from my springtime walk earlier. The bluebells are coming out and the cowslips are about at their peak up here 😍
More photos! There were some koi in a pond in the glasshouses at the gardens as well as these gorgeous orchids. I walked back into town and got some cool pictures of our cathedral. I'm so thankful to live so near to a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Photos! I had a gorgeous few hours at Durham Botanic Gardens and the weather was gorgeous.
I'm just back from a lovely walk with my friend! It was cold and windy but warm in the sun. We went to one of the local nature reserves - we're so lucky to live so close to a couple of places like this.
I've just had a lovely walk in the sunshine - Spring flowers are out now and it's beautiful.
Flowers at Borde Hill Gardens, and a photo of the poor old skeletal remains of the West Pier in Brighton.
Post a tree that you photographed The Domesday Yew in Exbury Gardens, New Forest UK.
FINALLY! Snowdrops are out here! Spring will hopefully be here soon. I took these photos while passing a beautiful churchyard on my walk home from town this morning.
I finished my latest scrapbook project based around the Japanese kawai(cute) aesthetic. I've incorporated some souvenirs I brought back from Japan around 20 years ago - seemed a good way to use them.
What a contrast. Beautiful full moon last night, and now the snow's come in 🥶❄️☃️
I'm pleased to say I was feeling well enough to go out for a bit after lunch with BIL and Hubby. We drove up to the Angel Of The North - it's only about 20 mins from home - and got some photos. We're back home now and I'm resting again 👍
Photos from my day in York. It was really really foggy so I didn't get good photos around the city, but here are some of trains at the National Railway Museum, including the Flying Scotsman engine.
One nice thing that came out of my trip into town this morning - I got photos at the cathedral. I never get sick of living so close to a World Heritage Site 😊
Happy Wednesday folks! My dad and Hubby have just headed to the station so my dad can get his train back down home. I'm staying home because....see picture! (BTW Hubby texted me to say they got to the station OK although the travel was Not Fun but they're OK)
Hubby, Dad & I went out for a lovely walk in the sunshine after lunch (while we had sunshine!). First time I've had a proper time outside in the fresh air in a couple of days because of work, and it was nice. We went on one of our fave loops out into the nearby countryside.
