Hey, everyone. It's been a much shorter time frame than I expected to make another long-winded post, but I’ve been doing some thinking, and I feel it’s about that time.

My return to making videos is now back on the table. I don’t have a time frame as to when that will be, but I decided I miss making silly videos too much to stand idly by for much longer. I’m gonna go back and tweak a lot behind the scenes, so it's gonna be a while longer before I'm back in the swing of things, but I will return hopefully sooner than later.

This, as well as I'm gonna be *kinda* active on my bluesky account. I say “*kinda*” because in all reality I'm gonna be a lurker and maybe post something goofy here and there, but I think I've worn out my absence for as long as possible. I think I want to go back to basics, in a sort of “sit down, shut up, and talk about Pokemon and/or Death Battle” situation. I realize this might look like I got caught in the act and am backing down a bit, and I’m not gonna pretend that there isn’t some truth to that idea. However, I used my hiatus initially to reflect on that a little bit anyways, but even outside of that, I did need that hard push in the right direction regardless.

None of this is to say that I stopped reflecting on my past actions, nor will I ever stop doing so. I've been extremely aggressive in online situations, and also gung ho when it comes to defending my loved ones to where it causes temporary gratification, but long term harm and consequences. With that said, I'm already on the right path, according to my psychiatrist and my loved ones, and I will always be exploring ways to better myself. And most of all, staying out of spaces and scenarios that I'm not fit to involve myself in. These past few months have made me extremely aware of my shortcomings, and while yes, it's arguably embarrassing it took me this long to learn so, I mostly see it as a “better late than never” situation if it means I know I don't plan on involving myself in …

Hey all. I wanted to make some sort of update to touch base since everything that had happened over the course of my absence. I should make it clear right away that I still have no plans on stopping my absence at this time, but there has been a significant change and more reflections since I logged off that I want to share.

Since the start of my absence, I finally made the jump to see a psychiatrist. I felt that since this was not an opportunity worth wasting to make myself a better person, and that I had been planning on it for too long at this point, it was finally time to make that push and began seeking professional treatment. I'm not going into much detail beyond that at this time since A) it's still early on in my sessions and we're still experimenting with treatment and diagnostics, and B) I'm not yet comfortable going over what said diagnostics are for personal reasons. This is honestly the biggest reason why I decided to talk since I wanted to have already made that jump before saying anything. But at the same time, I didn’t want to just say nothing after the fact nor wait too long, so I decided to write this piece up in the event that those that are at least wondering where I've been and what I've been doing can have some answers.

I've also used this time to reflect more not just on my involvement in the Habit/RCV incident, but on everything in general that got me to this point. I've made several mistakes in my time on online spaces, big and small, public and private, and I've always tried to learn from said mistakes and ensure I don't repeat the same mistake twice. But at the same time, working on a case by case basis doesn't do much to tackle any serious internal reasons as to why said mistakes happen in the first place. I'm sure it's very obvious that I tend to act on emotional impulse more often than logical investigation.
