This one has the manual, but is missing the pack-in poster, so it might take a hit because of that, but eBay prices have it floating between US$800 and US$1000. 4x the price without the box.
Got to say thank you to my dad for keeping the box for this and many of my other SNES games.
Organizing my videogames. Know I've mentioned this before, but I'd love to know who the BioWare devs who signed my KOTOR disk were. PRETTY sure the top sig is Aaryn Flynn. Not sure the rest. (This occurred because they were randomly at the EB games in the mall when I bought it/were doing a signing.)
Finally finished a 3D print and paint project. Took a little bit, but happy with how it turned out.
It sounds like HOW TO MAKE A KILLING is getting some pretty mid reviews, and I have to say ... just watch KIND HEARTS AND CORONETS (based on same source material). Screened it with some pals who are 100% not into old movies/B&W, and it still kills. Feels surprisingly modern (except for that 1 bit)
After MASK OF THE PHANTASM and BLADE, I think the superhero movie from the 90s that holds up best is bizarrely THE SHADOW, which is much better than it has any right being. Actually, I think it's probably better than BLADE, or at least more watchable.
Man, remember when AppleTV+ did a big, glossy ambitious sci-fi series about the cumulative effects of climate change filled with big-A-list stars and not only did no one watch it, it seems to have been completely memory holed?
Just got my Steam year in review thing and DAMN the thing to the right is sure a stat, huh? Absolute fight for any new game to get a toehold.
Finally finished my Mad Men rewatch. Still amazing to me that the show could do an ending as genuinely hopeful and genuinely cynical as that and not have either aspect really cancel the other out in any way.
It sucks that there's no market for stuff set in the reconstruction and post-reconstruction American South.

Eenie Meanie is a movie in the tradition of those early aughts Tarantino knockoffs, though now photocopied enough times the rough edges are all gone. An ending that feels strangely both like an out-of-nowhere bummer, and also sort of too happy. I wonder if it was shifted around after test screenings
I kind of love how Chris Bauer kind of always plays the same character, but turns up and down a little dials on that character for "morality" and "competence" that makes it play totally differently in different settings.
Every single poster and still from this movie has given off the asthetic of a point-and-click adventure game circa (specifically) 2000-2005, and I am here for it.
Okay, doing the "early steam purchases" thing. Mine seems to have weirdly cut off stuff before 2008. I definitely purchased a handful of things before then (most memorably The Longest Journey).
